His skills have been totally lacking. Can’t beat opponents, falls over, never chases back when he looses the ball. IMO he hasn’t done anything this past 12 months, although granted he has quite a few assists this season. Would be dumbfounded if promotion chasing sides would even look at him. Maybe L2 promotion chasers 

Martin goes down every other challenge. Only gets a freekick one in four probably.
Collins goes down about the same but rarely gets the freekick.
It could be Collins is too quick and light and his tumbles appear theatrical. Although its probable most are actual fouls.
He needs to learn to try to ride the fouls early in the game try to keep his balance. Give the ref confidence he is not faking.

Has to start every game.

He is definitely one of our better players but is playing like one of the weakest.
If, as others suggest, he goes elsewhere and shines. That is a sign of a poor attitude amongst other factors. If he put in 100% and made mistakes, most fans would accept that, but he doesn't even do that anymore which is the least to expect from a professional imo.
I really hope he finds himself soon otherwise he might aswell be left out of the squad in place of a youth player.

Not as good as he was last year, but anyone who wants Collins out is mad. We don’t score enough goals and you want to drop our top assister, the player with most assists in the league? 🤣

And where are we going to replace that service from? Scott Sinclair? Jevani Brown?

It’s not as simple as playing him in his best position, because he’s been playing up front in a 2. He’s not been played as an inverted winger under Taylor, he’s supporting Chris Martin and drifts wide into the channels. Aaron was always a No 10 and in the system MT has been playing, that would be where Anthony Evans is playing and I would say Evans has the better shout given performances this season.

He’s out of form. When he joined us he did little for a while. Scored goals, then didn’t, then scored them for a long time, now he didn’t for a long time.

You can blame the system but if he was truly championship quality then he would comfortably score goals playing in a 2 or playing as a winger in a 3 (MT and Barton respectively). He isn’t, and if you have to refit the whole team to get the best out of him, it’s not worth it as he’s not that good, quite frankly, at the moment.

This is a form issue. We don’t know the score either. He might have personal life issues, he might have a recurrent minor injury, there are many reasons why potentially.

Best let MT judge but I say at present given how involved he can be in a lot of goals stick with him. He’s also a threat, he is quite quick and opposition have to think a little harder with him around. We don’t have tons of pace in this team.

Do you actually believe that they’d create as many assists as Collins? I have seen zero evidence of that. Neither of them run at their man down the line or desperately make a darting run forward like Collins does. Half the time when either of them get the ball, the first thing they do is slow it down or pass it backwards.

I agree we need Collins from 2 years ago, but we need another 6 players on top of that. Getting rid of Collins would be the most idiotic thing. And for what, because he still has the most assists but doesn’t score 20 goals now?

There are so many players ahead of Collins that need to go first.

Heard today that we turned down a bid from Wrexham in the week…

Fingers crossed they up their bid and he is gone this month.
