Disagree. Marquis has been woeful much of the time he's been here. Has the odd good game but not much. Offered nothing in the last 5 he's come on as sub. Came on today and barely noticed him on the pitch. May as well not have bothered. I don't think he's a 5 minute at the end player. Like Martin, he's a starter that hassles then someone else can come on and be an impact in the last half hour. I just think these guys have more value to give during the week than just half 4 to 5 on a Saturday. Can any club at our level afford to employ non scoring strikers like Marquis for that reason? Not sure there's any evidence he's helping the likes of AC & LT score anyway.

Terrible referee, did everything he could to break up the game and make it all about him. Small man syndrome seemed to delight in booking tall players for any comment they make. Spot on my good mate and especially so when he gave a lecture to Connor Taylor for a minute or so in the second half and all for a comment about a ridiculous decision he had just made.

After Joey's sacking, the pearl grasping morally superior on here were saying how T2 Oops Taylor had got all the players playing for him, by moving away from passing the ball out from the back reverting to 1980s kick long and hope we win the second ball. Now we have lost 4 and drawn 1 of the last five games, Taylor is not to blame its the referee (something Joey was also berated about) or the players, hmm what is it, are the players now not playing for Taylor ? imo, playing Hoole is a mistake (an opinion Taylor seemed to share during his post match interview) although the worse decision is why anybody would play Grant in centre midfield is beyond me. I am prepared to play along with Taylor in the kings clothes thing, if it keeps the forum from going into melt down, but surely he needs to stop standing on the touch line simply glaring why his arms are closely crossed for 90 minutes, and go out and sign a rake of players sooner rather than later, as non of us want to be flirting with relegation. Hoping for better things on Tuesday night. Utg Stop crying. Pathetic.

How many times did the ref get on the whistle today? He was on it constantly, any excuse to blow and give free kicks, booking players for supposed dissent. The typical ‘all about them’ official who was fully up for spoiling the game today for thousands. The Martin ‘foul’ on Husband in the corner & then Marquis running past the keeper and getting booked for it were two of the worst decisions I have ever seen. The former happened 2 yards from the lino! 8 bookings in a game that didn’t have a single bad/poor tackle in it, tells you everything. You forgot to mention their keeper making a pigs ear of his punched clearance in the first half and hitting himself in the face with his own arm and falling backwards and the ref giving a foul by our player against the keeper. It was laughable.

There you have it. End of potential top 8 finish. All about how close to 9th we can finish now. Hunt must go asap. Hoole...again is not ready for any type of CB role for a good few years yet. Grant shows why he is such a useful player worth having...but never a first choice in any role. We need to be planning for next season now. Out the door. Hunt Wilson Friend Gordon Crama Cox Vale ( unless he is available to sign perm) Sinclair Possible outs McCormick Marquis Martin Brown Connolly Hoole Ward Only Definite keeps Finley Collins Taylor Evans J Ward I will be surprised if Grant is still a professional player next season, it was a slow game today but he was way off the pace. I know the blokes suffered with injuries but he's miles off being fit enough. He actually made it harder for us because he constantly slowed the game down. Maybe a good pre season and he can come back fitter? He's 100% not got the legs to play midfield. I thought Grant had a fair game today🤔

Poor again today. Can't keep a clean sheet to save our life and could not score in a brothel. MT needs to rip up the defence, Taylor is the only decent one. JB's decision to bring in a load of over 30's has truly back fired. By the way the referee was truly awful but no excuse. According to transfer market our average age of players used is 26.1. Oldest is 27.9 and youngest is 22.7. There's no obvious correlation between age and league position.

Only player I disagree with here is marquis. I think him and Martin are perfect for teaching a young striker. Disagree. Marquis has been woeful much of the time he's been here. Has the odd good game but not much. Offered nothing in the last 5 he's come on as sub. Came on today and barely noticed him on the pitch. May as well not have bothered. He should be starting imo. Martin as the option for last 30.

Our new manager needs time to mould his squad. He has inherited everything so it's only fair to give him 2 windows to make his mark. His demeanour is also very different to JB so that will also take time to wash through for fans, media and players. Ultimately, we all want Rovers to succeed.

That's a foul in the modern game and it was a pen. The Blackpool commentary also acknowledged that they'd 'got away with it'. Doesn't matter anyway, we deserved f**k all for that performance. Spot on Simon, had a clear view of it and it was a definite penalty. The ref was stood still yards away from it and didn’t have a clue about anything that went on in the game, so no surprise to me he didn’t give it and as for the linesman ten yards away, he didn’t have a clue either. We were very poor today but the three officials were even worse. I watched it on TV with a replay. The ref clearly didn't even think it was a foul? Or a dive? Just play on! 😆

The referee was last seen eating tangerines, in an orange jump suit on the Blackpool team bus.
Here ends my match report.
Naffed off, BS3

Got what we deserved. Disjoined, no cohesion, sloppy with possession, not at it from the first whistle, rusty right hand side, we looked awful. Perhaps the most concerning is that we were beaten by another poor side. And the referee of course, or are you visually impaired too? And I said what to deserve that? The ref didn’t cost us the game. We have to look hard at ourselves first and foremost because didn’t play well enough to get anything from the game. See it’s possible to exchange opinion without insults.

I don't think that was a pen. If you were stood with a clear view of it like me, you would have seen it was a definite penalty. Maybe. I watched on ifollow and watched the replay and would have felt aggrieved if it was given against us.

But if it was a penalty on Weds night and that's the definition of a penalty according to the laws of the game then it was a penalty this afternoon.

Woeful for 20 mins & looked as though we could be on the end of a hammering. In fairness we improved after that but the damage had already been done. Even so we missed some decent chances to get what probably would have been a deserved point. Lots of work to do in this window & during the summer, listening to Taylors post match interview I get the feeling he's running out of patience with some players, the squad that starts next season will look very different I think Thought he was very honest in his review. Damning about certain players at the back and front. Confident we will have some new players in the door this week as he knows what needs to change

That was woeful sitting in bed at 11pm watching ifollow. Bit like a train wreck . Evan’s was great but couldn’t get the rest to follow him in effort. What’s gone wrong ? I thought the previous manager brought together a squad that could challenge for promotion. Wael seemed the saviour at last I said. We went out of the league came back up and got promoted to L1 again . Has anything changed other than moving a few deck chairs NO.
New part owner and new manager so if we can avoid a complete meltdown and fingers crossed stay mid table I will be semi happy. A good injection of funds to buy new players and a clear out at end of season IMO would be best.
Long long long suffering Gashead UTG

Not been on here since before the game so sorry if any of this is just repeating. Why did Hoole start over Connolly? I like Hoole but he is not a CB! The first 20 we looked like a team who didn’t know how to play any position! Got punished. Was worried it was gonna be a hatful. fair play, we improved and Blackpool stopped pushing for more. Poor Connor had an awful day. Couldn’t have been anywhere near 100%. He’s allowed one tho. Is he now suspended?
Grant did well after the first 20 and the midfield 3 were really the only ones I would score above a 6.
We need a cm and some pace in this team asap.

And some still believe this isn't a penalty. Sorry to bring up the Norwich game as well but its the only clip I have found of the incident.
