Well I've just arrived at the Drapers Arms - and what a lovely little bolt-hole it is!
It's cracking little place for a few ales before and after the game. Not a 'pub' in the traditional sense but if you like the cask pong it's one of the best in Bristol.

It was Central Video in one of it's former guises - a video, superdisk, then dvd rental shop. Nice choice for your real ales, ciders and local stuff but it might be closed after 9pm! The video shop opened longer...

Well I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The stanchions blocking the view of the pitch and standing on the terraces took me back a bit to memories of Ninian Park - but there was an authenticity about everything in general and the game was entertaining, something that is a rare event at Cardiff these days. However, I'm Cardiff through and through but I'll be keeping my eye on your results and maybe I will pop in again. Cheers, everyone.

Apologies to Mr81, but quite literally anywhere but The Wellington. What was a great pub 15 years ago, is now a generic, overpriced, soulless food place that sells beer. Totally ruined. The best pub in Bristol is 200 yards from my house, but as it's in BS3, it's 4 miles from the ground. Draoers then if you like real ale. I'd love to know your opinion of the best pub in Bristol doc, especially as you saying it's in BS3 .

I'm not particularly fond of our feline friends (bird and mouse killing arseholes), but I popped in there for a pint last month whilst on a bit of a pub crawl.. some amusing signage on display and the ambient music provided by vinyl on an old record player. Didn't spot any lagers on draft (didn't ask either) - had a pear cider instead.

What you might have drank is "Pear cider can be made with imported pear juice or concentrate and can even include some apple juice. The main difference between perry and pear cider is that pear cider can use juice from edible pear varieties like Conference. "Proper" perry, on the other hand, is made only from proper perry pears." Hang your head in absolute shame sir. Unless of course you are not from the West Country in which case we smile and accept your lack of knowledge. And taste.
