Both bristol clubs relegated that season from what I recall,sadly we finished bottom,not a good year,just a pity they never folded completely.

That was the 1980-81 season we were bottom of Div 2 , those across the river one place above. 1981-82 they went down again to Div 4, and went bust Edit - Darkblue posted whilst I was typing (slowly) |

Thank god we won’t have to go through the local press/media fawning over them for months because they’re playing Man Utd. There is that but the local press had them playing Leeds last weekend and Middlesbrough this, whilst we had Fleetwood and next up Burton Albion. I don't think an FA Cup run for them bucks any trend tbh. |
