I think a lot are underestimating Exeter. Their form is actually very good. Back to back away wins at Rovers and promotion chasing Barnsley. Only 1 defeat in their last 5 games, 3 wins. Their 4 unbeaten at SJP, only conceding 1 goal. Like us they've made a number of signings since our last meeting. If they win today they're just 1 point behind us. This is not going to be easy. I'd be very happy with a draw. You must be delighted. This is how we get into the playoffs. Taking our chance and defending well, especially early doors and the second half. Jed Ward again looking the part. Love the clean sheet. We are looking like an outfit that might surprise the clubs around us as we inch ourselves towards the top end of table. Well done travelling fans and our team for creating this moment. Today the team showed that we can defend as a unit. We are on our way with back to back wins. So pleased that the players think that the play offs are worth a crack at. They gave the impression of a squad that believes it might be possible. Fans live in hope of another end of season finish to remember. The gas go marching in… |

Finally back to follow up the Norwich Away & FA Cup 4th round draw MDT successes! Feel like we owe Exeter one for that truly abysmal performance merely 10 days ago. Plus the fact we never seem to beat them. A few have been moved on, a few have arrived & a couple are back from injury with a few more hours on the grass down at the quarters. Hopefully another confident and solid display at both ends of the pitch (to prove the Oxford win was corner turned & no flash in the pan result) with the new lads hopefully showing what they’re all about with whatever time they’re given. Exeter 0 - 2 Gas A clean sheet for Jed, another for Martin and a debut goal for the Costa Rican fella. Safe and pleasant journey to all of those travelling down. I’ll take 2/3 on the ol’ prediction there 😮💨 |

I said a couple of weeks ago after cox last game that good goalkeepers are like good strikers they win you football matches and Cox hadn’t won us a single game all season with his performances. Footballs won in both boxes. |

With Matt Taylor as manager he won’t be afraid to give our youngsters a chance. Funny isn’t it Ward wasn’t exactly getting rave reviews on loan. Not sure he would have ever gotten a look in without the change of manager? Not sure what the point is in loaning to random non league clubs it hardly ever helps. Give them a chance in our team!
