Motm from Ward, what a breath of fresh air he is. Good game again from Conteh, shuts down space so well,he just glides around the pitch. I promised myself a curry tonight if we can keep a clean sheet. 🥘🌶🍺

Think Exeter can be a bit dissapointed there, but we had a young man in goal determined to keep a clean sheet, no doubt about it he won us the game today. Well done Jed, brilliant stuff.

With Matt Taylor as manager he won’t be afraid to give our youngsters a chance. Funny isn’t it Ward wasn’t exactly getting rave reviews on loan. Not sure he would have ever gotten a look in without the change of manager? Not sure what the point is in loaning to random non league clubs it hardly ever helps. Give them a chance in our team! Maybe his time away did help and prepare him for what we are seeing now?

Not sure he'd have got a look in without Cox conceding a soft goal v Exeter at the Mem? It's baffling why MT waited so long to give Ward a start.

Loans 100% help. We’ve played it exactly right with Ward. The same way taylor played it with a lot of kids at Exeter. Out to non league and then back to the first team when toughened up a bit.

I’ve been watching Rovers for over 40 years and most of that has been in the 3rd tier and whilst I can appreciate football has changed a fair bit over the last 40 years the way top sides play that are successful in the 3rd tier hasn’t actually changed that much. You’ve got to get stuck in , move the ball quickly and take your chances when they come and you need a good goalkeeper as well. A good goalkeeper is worth as much as a 20+ goals striker. In the last two games we’ve looked very much like one of those teams.
How many times over the years have we had a top two side come to the Mem , we’ve given them a good go but come away having lost saying “ they didn’t look anything special but they were a horrible side who knew every trick in the book and they were clinical when it mattered “

Tremendous result. Top 10 should be the aim now. Top 6 should be the aim. We’re almost top 10 now with 53 points left to play for.

Probably as we didn't want Cox recalled, so they can both fight for the number one spot. Ward has taken his chance, hopefully he can keep up the good form.

Tremendous result. Top 10 should be the aim now. Top 6 should be the aim. We’re almost top 10 now with 53 points left to play for. We are 12 points away from top 6 having played one more than the team in 6th. Too much to make up imo.

We can aim for there but very unlikely we will get there. 2 points a game (top 2 form) would put us on 74 points which would be borderline enough for Playoffs. We're going the right way but won't reach the Playoffs.

Yeah I agree it’s probably not going to happen but we’ve done it before , it can be done, so therefore it’s the target.

We are 10th. Finishing inside the top 10 after finishing 17th last year and a change of manager mid season would be good progress.

Hard fought defensive display there. They really were putting pressure on us having majority of the ball throughout the game. Bit of magic from Aguilera and save crucial save from Jed. Happy to be driving home with 3 points.
