Doesn’t change the fact that top 6 should be the aim. We’re practically top 10 now I’d imagine , I haven’t looked at the table but there’s no point in aiming to not progress with 17 matches left. We are 10th. Finishing inside the top 10 after finishing 17th last year and a change of manager mid season would be good progress. Absolutely. At the beginning of the season I would have taken mid table. When barton was sacked I would have just taken staying up. I knew that he was practically running the club and all his staff would leave and there would be a lot of tension and mess and things to sort out. But Taylor has done brilliantly to put right the wrongs of Barton and now he’s starting to build his own team playing a style of football much more suited to the league we’re in. I’m not saying I’ll be gutted if we don’t make top 6. I’m saying that with 51 points left to play for that should be our Target.

From the Exeter forum;
"Rovers were bitches when it came to going down and cheating - how the ref gave just minutes is beyond me....his should have been a home win to build our points up for a difficult period coming up"
"Rovers are boring and play anti football with giants in defence. A goal that should never have stood, along side hitting the crossbar twice and a rovers goalkeeper who was MOTM."
"Unlucky I thought, deserved a point. Taylor desperate to get a win and didn't care what it took"
Lovely, cry some more you c .unts!

Always expected us to finish as a strong top half side and have not changed mind, now 12 points from play offs and 12 points from relegation place, I predict an 8th place finish.!(admire those who predict even better!) Well done today everyone, seem to be getting some good quality in and none of the challengers will fancy playing us as they chase the points , agree with nailsea, give our youngsters a chance in our own team!

Played a drinking game where I had a shot every time the commentator called us Bristol. I’m absolutely bollocksed now

It’s nice to have a keeper that actually saves shots.

Excellent first half after an initial good start by Exeter. Aguilara looks a great player playing in what seems to be a free role. Conteh blocking the central passing lanes again well although I’d like to see him get his head up more when he’s got the ball, the simple short pass is usually the best one but at times we’ve had a player further forward that he hasn’t seen running in to space. Very similar to the Oxford game so far in that we haven’t looked fancy but we’re solid , quick tempo with the ball and getting the job done which is what all the top sides in league 1 look like. We’ve probably got to win this and Tuesday night to keep the play off hopes alive but we’re doing all of the right things. Agreed re Conteh he looks comfortable on the ball so a bit of a mystery why he can't use it a bit more than just a short pass to a nearby team mate, sometimes to a defender with an opposition player bearing down on him. I might be wrong here, bit isn't this only his second game with us? No need to get on his case so soon.

17 games remaining. Win 14 of them we finish on 82 points. Should be enough for the playoffs.
Should be the goal.
The impossible dream.
We love to chase.

That's a proper away performance, defended well and our goalkeeper excellent when called upon. Superb winning goal and could well have scored more on the counter. Ward looks every inch a league 1 keeper, credit to Taylor for being brave enough to throw him in. Aguilera looks a very good addition very comfortable in possession and what a goal. Looking forward to seeing how far we can push up the table between now & May especially with 2 very winnable home games to come. What a difference a week makes - happy Saturday gasheads

Despite following the gas from the last few Eastville years this will be my first visit to 'The other St James park.' Any pub tips? Currently having a bit of brunch by the quayside. Bowling Green near the ground is quite good (think that’s what it’s called). Late to the party. Went to uni in Exeter - this is a quality pub. Would recommend it for anyone still in the vicinity of the ground.

Can you honestly see us dropping points in just 3 of our remaining games? Why can't we just enjoy our present winning streak whilst it continues? Oxford, who've only taken 2 pts from a possible 9 pts this week are away at Blackpool on Saturday, whereas we have two winnable looking games at the Mem. We could easily reduce the gap to them to 5 or 6 pts. Hopefully Stevenage will then blow up at some point, perhaps once we have beaten them!

But not as much as radio Bristol commentary I don't get how SheriDAN gets excited when the opposition almost score, doesn't she realise that her listeners don't want them to score?
