And apart from the dire football and burnt food How bad is the match day programme these day 18 pages of adverts 8 pages on burton and not even a fixtures page anymore. We used to win awards for our programmes ffs All went downhill when Roadman got involved with the printing of it! 😉

No way. How dare he. Sounds like the dressing room has not been won. Players walking around and pointing fingers is a sure sign of a rudderless ship. This is a great opportunity for a hero to emerge from the group, so, let's see who is brave enough to step up. Where's pipe these days? WYHHB?

Manager bemoaning options. And I agree with his assessment but why did we sign more ball playing techy kids.
He was clearly not backed. Forced to go begging with an hour left for more loans.

If you listen to taylor he said that those two players were identified to us, not peopel we picked out. We were sat around behind f reactive on deadline day. Where’s the celino thread again?

How do we know that didn't happen post purchase? Yeah they've burnt it standing on the terraces in the boiling British February weather. 🙈 Or to the flares!

I think we'll probably be alright to stay up, just. We should pick up enough points away from home as we seem more comfortable when teams come at us rather than vice versa. Still too early to judge the manager (and owners) for me but I know others disagree

Matt Taylor absolutely scathing of the group on radio Bristol. Incredibly clear and articulate though. Making a lot of sense. He sounds done already. No way. How dare he. Sounds like the dressing room has not been won. Players walking around and pointing fingers is a sure sign of a rudderless ship. This is a great opportunity for a hero to emerge from the group, so, let's see who is brave enough to step up. Let’s see who is? No one is. That’s the point. Barton signed a load of players who’d be ours for 10 months, or (expensive) players at the end of their careers for whom Bristol is a very convenient location for them to live. Those are just the facts.

Out fought and out thought for the second time at home this week. I assume Conteh needed a rest, as for me, his performance was the only positive from today.

He's had enough games now regardless of playing staff available, for people to see what he is trying to do. Managers have styles or preferred ways to do things. They also have an effect on players conduct. So far, it is not clear what he is trying to do, there is no style, and sadly looks like he is not motivating the players. We played possession football before, high press out of possession. It wasn't overly successful in lg1 but it was clear what we were doing. Now, God knows?!

I hear that. But 15 more performances like that and he won't have much credit in the bank. If he gets the reset. Then he'll need a fast start with a new squad... that's far from guaranteed with so much change. So there's an unfortunate chance we repeat this cycle. Thoughts on the previous manager aside. You have to back the new one at the earliest opportunity. Give their vision a chance at the start. We've put so much pressure on the first 10 games of next season with players that haven't signed for us yet. I really fear we set to repeat this pattern. The planning for the future brigade irratate me greatly. Smell the coffee.

Depressingly familiar viewing, a pretty much exact replica of how who knows how many teams who the play way Burton did have done a job on us. Low block sit in and wait for the inevitable defensive mistake that will open the door. Todays latest version ball in behind Grant, Baggott runs away from the ball which gives their guy a free cross into the box. Ward goes with his feet, a bit of pinball & a yellow shirt standing completely free 8 yards out scores. After that we barely threatened and then another long ball isn't dealt with 2-0 and pretty much game over. In fairness we scored a good goal and looked better when we went to a back 4 but I never really felt we would equalise. Resorting to throwing a centre back who barely won a header all game up front & hitting long balls really smacked of desperation come the end. We still have a decent cushion but really need players to return we desperately miss Ward & Finley. Taylor sounded pretty down in his interview but can anyone really argue with what he had to say?

I'm sure you just said the players were good enough though, just not trying enough. Apologies if that wasn't you. If that is the case then the players need to take some responsibility for their performances and attitude. Taylor only has so many players to include in a squad and some of the individual performances were poor, again. Are you really suggesting we should change manager, at this point, again ?

Burton were awlful . Rovers were shocking . Gave them 2 goal with kids stuff defending . Really have reservations about Taylor the manager 🤡 he’s buying time with his comments. Mid table fingers crossed and a good clear out. Give him 6 months to sort this out starting August 2024 .

Last point first. No I am not suggesting that. Taylor needs time to shape a squad and put his mark on it. He also needs reassurance that he has that time. Yeah, I agree that players should take responsibility. However, we have a manager with a whip on the sideline plus coaches. They get paid to organise, instruct and motivate. What are we witnessing? Even genuinely poor players should play to 100% effort with a semblance of organisation and motivation. Or no?

MT said one of the reasons for taking the job as the potential of the squad, either he was just talking BS, or he's not using that squad to it's potential.
I don't get why he's sticking to 3 at the back surely trying 4 might be worthwhile, we certainly seemed to get the ball forward quicker today when we moved to 4 at the back. Plus it means we don't have to suffer watching Grant or Friend in the side!

Take it back, get a replacement? Nope, straight on twitter. 2024 Take it back and swap it for one that’s been cremated a little more evenly and has a better quantity of paper melted in to it? 😁 I feel it could definitely have been a little more well done👌🏻😄

Taylor has taken a squad built for possession football and is trying to turn them into a long ball team.
Too many hopeful long balls giving the receiving player far too much to do to win it and keep. We lose the ball and the opposition are coming back at us with it. Add to that giving the ball away cheap even when we do play a short game and there you pretty much have the root of our problem, we just don’t keep possession well enough.
It’s pretty awful to watch.
