Do you understand my point or is everything completely literal in your world? Have you ever played football? Do you have kids? Clearly if a player has broken their Dam leg, my view doesn't relate. But for sure, this happens in football and other sports. It's just a loose point. Your post clearly suggested some of the injured players are just faking it, I just listed details of 3 players we're presently missing big time, which players do you think are faking it, given your making the allegation not me as I doubt Rossiter is faking what seems a career threatening injury and LM seems to want to play, I can't think of any other player who's out injured? You wouldn't know. 4 players injured, ok. Nice one.

Since I started my post with "I wouldn't be suprised", you are more than welcome to educate me on what you know. Tell me about all of the players carrying injuries and who has missed training over the past 3 months. Who has called in sick on a Monday? Who has gone quiet after a poor performance and knocked on the managers door with a mystery illness? These guys are human, and its not unrealistic to think that some if them won't be up for the challenge when things are tough. So, tell me what you know.

I mean, we do have a coaching & fitness team who'd surely be able to tell if a player if faking an injury or not.
I'd also assume that if a player is faking an injury, it's a dismissible offence.

It's 2024. If someone says they don't feel right, it's difficult to call them out. It doesnt need to be physical either, so it is even more difficult to prove. Do we really think these humans are any different to many other professionals? Police, military, teachers, scaffolders, they cry off, it happens, especially when the chips are down.

And how many of the players are off with non-physical conditions? We're not exactly talking people who're working from home calling in on stress leave. And yes, I do think they're different. For most of them, this is their absolute dream job and they have extremely short careers. You start faking an injury/sickness at one club and your wage has dropped 30% by the time you find a new club. Their community is much smaller, with a lot more scrutiny than most people's industry. I have no doubt (and we've all seen it) that they get demotivated and put in less effort, but I think you're talking a really extreme angle that probably happens very rarely IMO.

Perhaps you're right. It sounds quite romantic and having spoken to a number of players over the years, it's not always as wonderful for them as we might think. Seems unthinkable I expect.. Did we have so many injuries during our march up league 2? I can't remember. What's up with Scotty Sinclair? I'm not itk but it's a bit off innit? Must be on a wedge..

Honestly I can't remember, but we've certainly had many seasons where we've had loads of injuries. I remember a few years ago having 11 at one point. Usually they are relegation/struggling seasons, but my gut feeling tells me you're going to struggle with half a squad injured, rather than players start calling in sick when things go wrong. But I'm guessing really. Sinclair no idea. Has he ever been injured? Not chosen? It's like he hasn't even existed!

There are still are fair few painful problems that doctors cannot definitively disprove. It’s a minefield but, if any player truly does not wish to play then, I am sure, they can find something to use, not that I’m implying anyone is.

Thought Sinclair with his experience would be key at the moment especially as MT has said the first 11 is short of experience at the moment. Any news on Jordan Rossiter ? Has he joined the Moonies or joined witness protection?
