If Rovers manage to attain promotion to the Championship, surely the stadium capacity will have to rise above the 16,000 mentioned? With north Bristol population increase and the handy Ashley Down Station nearby, demand will be there. There has been several big housing projects nearby. I feel the support will be there in this large city!

3 years to the Championship tells me we are not spending big and quick to get up there, it also tells me last season top 8 budget is being reduced. Its clear to me this is now a process of getting costs down, like Wenger at Arsenal paying off the Emirates, our money is going on the Mem and they have a manager who accepts a low budget like at Exeter. If you wanted Championship football asap, you’d be bank rolling a top 6 budget, minimum play off push. They want the ground ready first for the Championship, this is fine, good business plan but don’t expect a promotion side next season. And 3 years to the Championship, you need to stabilise first and Peterborough, Rotherham and Wigan can tell you all this. His Premiership statement sounds over a decade off now and doing it in a done up 16,000 stadium. They ain’t got real football money, sack Taylor and whoever comes in has to be an overachiever, same old Bristol Rovers. Thank gawd for that, only a lunatic would ever want their club in the premier league🙅🏻♂️Noooo thank you very much

Happy with the vision presented. We shall see. Assuming we do manage to increase attendance with an improved stadium and on pitch performances I assume there will be some arrangements for Park and Ride (or similar) to get the increased crowds to the ground. I am aware of the railway station improvements but not sure that will/could work for everyone so hope there will be some options. For sure the roads around the ground can’t handle much more traffic! Can't think what they may be though……….🤔

Good positive statements - let’s just establish our 1st division survival first of all. One minor point - the “City Council” won’t determine the plans for The Quarters that will be down to South Gloucestershire Council.

Good letter from the owner ...
Vital we get our 'house in order ' both financially and with the right people this will hopefully stop the constant haemorrhage of funds being wasted by idiots in senior department positions. Then there will be money to spend.
Happy with all of that - Championship in three years in a ground with a bigger capacity makes great sense.
Please we wont have to go to L2 first and try and bounce again !! - Imperative we stay up this season.

It's a nothing letter without anything of substance. Talk is cheap. How do we expect to build a "competitive first team" when we don't have any scouting or recruitment support staff? Unbelievable it hasn't been addressed yet. "We are committed to providing Matt with full backing and the resources needed to make this vision a reality". As always at this football club, I'll believe it when I see it!

There really are some negative nancy's on here.
If they don't spend in the summer as promised, complain then. A rebuild takes time and rushing things in the January window would have been another waste of money.

I think some need to realise we have a manager who is accepting rag bag Bristol Rovers, focus on Quarters, academy, and player sales to trade. 🥱

No pressure on MT then, if promotion is clearly the aim within 3 years then to do that we clearly need to be play off contenders next season.

Rubbish I’m not sure why he supports us or a football team either. Imagine being a Cherries fan seeing Solanke tear apart top sides. Luton Town fans are loving it as well, I was in the away end at Brentford when we won 6-2 as well under Holloway.

Seems reactive but reasonable. Anybody on here could have thrown that together in 5 minutes. Proof will be in the pudding and the ingredients will be on show soon enough. Exciting isn't it🙂

We’ve been here before. As it stands it’s empty words and has me reverting to my “believe it when I see it” position. I mean it was only two weeks ago we were sat around on deadline day waiting for the phone to ring. Based on what we’ve seen so far I’m 90% certain they know what they’re doing with the Mem and will get us some kind of development done. I’m less enthused by the football side until the son stops playing head of recruitment and gets a proper set up in place.
