That is pretty impressive Board at Brighton. Would love to see some names and experience like that at Rovers. What do you mean , we got Tommy G from them ! And look at their current CEO compared to ours: www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/1245354

Ok. If I am to believe the owner and the ITKers, we will be operating with a smaller squad but with more quality. We already are targetting these players as a project to be promoted within 3 years.
For the first time in a few years I am undecided to renew my season ticket. Should I trust the owners with their transfer spending claims? Or take it all with a pinch of salt, and view it as a marketing ploy?
I want to believe, but a lot of posters have made me wonder.....

Haven't read the whole thread.
As for the statement, never read so much waffle in all my life.
Resigned to another 141 years of stagnation.

I’m not sure why he supports us or a football team either. Imagine being a Cherries fan seeing Solanke tear apart top sides. Luton Town fans are loving it as well, I was in the away end at Brentford when we won 6-2 as well under Holloway. I bet Luton fans are loving it as well. They've done it without spending copious amounts of money and in a ground with barely a 12k capacity, where you still have to walk through peoples back gardens to get into the away end. As you mentioned " 3 years to the Championship tells me we are not spending big and quick to get up there, it also tells me last season top 8 budget is being reduced. Its clear to me this is now a process of getting costs down, like Wenger at Arsenal paying off the Emirates, our money is going on the Mem and they have a manager who accepts a low budget like at Exeter. If you wanted Championship football asap, you’d be bank rolling a top 6 budget, minimum play off push" That's pretty much how Luton have done it. But Luton also brought in the Chairman of Sony music, take a look at who Brighton brought in as well. Say what you want about Higgs, he delivered two successful planning applications, Ed Ware is one of the biggest property developers in Bristol as well. We have expertise watching us still every week, we need a stronger board, we are doing up a ground, listen to experts in this area. Our current board, opened up a NBA academy, never been in football before and the son is running the club

Things to remember guys, it’s competitive and really hard. Even if you do everything right; you can still lose. As an example, injuries. It is not as simple as you think. All the other teams are trying as hard as we are. Being honest, mid table L1 is about our level. Of course I want more but for goodness sake, City have spent over 100M for about 20 league places above us. You can hope to do a Luton and get lucky, and we may one day. Go easy on the board and manager. As far as I can see they are putting their money and their time where their mouth is. We are batting at our level and that’s better than we had for years. Our time will come I am sure. All we can do is be the best fans we can be and make the Mem a place opposition teams fear. Are we doing that? No. We can be a weak home crowd and we need the team to act first. How about instead of barraging the board, we grab our testicles and resolve to make the mem like ninnian park in the 90s. An inferno. That’s all we can do. Sing your heart out instead of finding other fans to shop to the stasi for singing about the IRA. Give your head a wobble, get some pints down you and let’s ave it. Or words to this effect. I remember in the Holloway days going 3-0 down at home and the blackthorn giving a massive, loud rendition of Irene. Pretty sure we rescued that game. That wouldn’t happen now, we’ve become like t the old city fans we hated. Culture change needed. Once we’ve proven ourselves as fans again then maybe we can criticise. Yes I am on holiday and yes I’ve had a few rice wines but I mean every word. Get on board or get out. UTFG. We can do this! Not spot on. I like alot of the energy but- get on board or get out. Alot of money men have come into football and tanked clubs with respected histories. Fans are right to review the credentials of owners actions. This was some improved communication and I think it's fair to give them the benefit of the doubt but I'll be paying attention to see if these words are backed up. This would come under the heading of “get out” 🤣

There is a lot to be said for that approach to life. Kind regards John Malyckyj

I don't understand the line,"We will share our designs and plans once we have obtained all the necessary approvals.". Surely they have to release the designs/plans first so the consultation process can begin to get them approved? Maybe they mean pre planning approval. Might be "internal" approvals - nothing I've seen from these new owners suggests they are actually in control of any long-term plan or the capital spending money we will need to get us there...

Will us long suffering Gasheads be looking forward to the 2024-25 season with great enthusiasm? We have no choice but to remain optimistic of reaching the Championship in what is a ridiculous 30-years!! Not many other club supporters would have remained so loyal and patient for this length of time. Decade upon decade of abysmal progress would make the most fervent Gashead pessimistic. Let’s just hope a genuinely realistic player budget is provided for Matt Taylor. UTG.
