Fair letter.
No criticism from me.
No huge excitement either.
Just hope to see actions and talk joined up.

It's a nothing letter without anything of substance. Talk is cheap. How do we expect to build a "competitive first team" when we don't have any scouting or recruitment support staff? Unbelievable it hasn't been addressed yet. "We are committed to providing Matt with full backing and the resources needed to make this vision a reality". As always at this football club, I'll believe it when I see it! “full backing” - that’s what we call a part-time asst manager and no scouting network now, is it? Our assistant manager is full time.

Season Ticket sales will be one of the lowest for many a season. Reduction rather then a increase will be needed to stop the drift towards live streaming of games at home rather then the third world set up at the mem for crazy matchday prices and lack of modern facilities We don’t get on well on here but you are spot on. ST sales are going to be down, which will see a reduced budget. TrevorGas mentions we are losing £3 million a year, I think Wrexham are in at £10 million a year, all clubs are losing money but how about this sales pitch for a season ticket push which relates to budget next season……….”we purchased the club because of its potential but the win against Portsmouth and away following and performance at Carrow Road in the FA cup have only justified our purchase further in our minds. It’s well known the January transfer window is a difficult one and value for money is exaggerated. We are optimistic for next season and will supply Matt Taylor with a competitive budget for a real push for the play offs again” I’d read that and think, we are having a go?!?! Read his statement, he’s put the brakes on, totally damning down everything. Stadium first, Quarters, 3 year Championship target, no meat on the bone! Let me ask everyone this, what did we expect from a new owner, new ground (now Carlisle job), Quarters investment, Championship football, we’ve heard nothing new today, they’ve actually gone backwards. Nick Higgs said the championship was the aim, he delivered two successful planning permissions, he just never had the money, this lot don’t either. Forgive me if I've got this wrong but on another theead weren't you saying we were already talking to 3 championship standard players one of which had already agreed to sign ? Are we now saying this has been shelved or are we thinking that we'll operate with a smaller squad, quality over quantity ??

Now that the South stand will available for use from the beginning of next season, I would think we will sell more season-tickets than we have for this season. I’ve read plenty of fans on different social media platforms who have tried the new stand & have commented that if it priced sensible they will consider purchasing seats there, even though their not presently season- ticket holders.

Smaller squad, all down to the manager, we have no football department at all. They are actively trying to recruit players, they know on a reduced budget but he’s used to this and we are lucky so much of Barton’s budget is leaving the club, smaller squad based on more quality. But imagine if we had a proper budget as well, like Barton had, we could have a real go like Plymouth did. We need the manager to get a bit lucky and be a real overachiever like Cogs, if not we will be in trouble. My concern is, he finds the targets, and we muck players around like we did with Conteh and nearly blew it. Wayne Carlisle was agreed full time, pulled, hotels pulled, multiple people offered the job, the son needs to do his job properly, the Father needs to control him, the manager needs to be backed.

I’m not sure why he supports us or a football team either. Imagine being a Cherries fan seeing Solanke tear apart top sides. Luton Town fans are loving it as well, I was in the away end at Brentford when we won 6-2 as well under Holloway. You two mind🤣 Two? 🤔

There's zero signs MT's ever over achieved as a manager at this level.

Credit where credits due, it's a good note and a very, very welcome bit of communication.
I won't get overly excited as the proof will be in the undertaking of said actions - but it's certainly promising on the face of it.

Can't see what the fuss is about. Everything in the letter had already been said in the previous interviews with RB and ITV. However the narrative has altered regarding the FM stadium and saying Championship in 3 years is just flannel as was saying the target was the Premier League previously.
This summer will just be another cycle of new players not being together from the start of pre season and taking a couple of months to "gel"
Also no one said previously the stadium would be 18k but 16-17k

Realistically from there you're looking at least around 5 years to establish and build. It didn't really sound like they'd changed the projections to me, just more realistic aims.

Amazes me that some fans can read what looks like a positive letter and find nothing but negatives in it . All life is here ! 😂👍 7 years ago we were told it was evolution and not a revolution. 2 months ago we were told “we will spend a little this window” but we are going for the Premiership. Now a 3 year Championship target, not we aim to get to this level as quick as we can with another top 8 budget? Do up the Mem, not a new East Stand, a Carlisle version, I don’t see how this will be fit for the Premiership and a 16,000 stadium. Luton are building a new one, Bournemouth also building a new stadium www.thesun.co.uk/sport/25261476/premier-league-bournemouth-new-stadium/amp/So I’m negative, 3 years to the Championship in a banger stadium, and this will then take us to the promised land! Last year it was the FM site video, around ST announcement time, now this latest one. If people can’t read between the lines that cuts are coming and being made as we speak, they are clueless. I know for a fact Wayne Carlisle agreed a full time deal, and it was pulled. I’ve mentioned hotel rooms cancelled, it’s only Taylor and his contacts that will keep us going, if he fails we can’t afford to pay 3 management teams so you might as well get behind him I thought it was a well established fact that football 'contracts' and their '3 year deals' are barely worth the paper they're written on, and in the case of termination are not honoured to the end of the term but are given a much reduced short payoff, as a key part of those contracts?

Usually a 12 month period unless they get another job in between and then the wage can be altered. Also have NDA’s worked in that prevents a manager slagging off the club/owner and if they do they lose the pay. Nice picture by the way 👍🏻
