That's 10 goals from the captain now.

I’d play Thomas centre mid. Lad can play anywhere and fights for the ball. Hopefully Taylor and Finley aren’t far off returning. Thought he looked poor tonight when he was playing in the middle. At least Brown can tackle and is stronger on the ball.

Cant disagree with that, def no 12th man on Saturday, must’ve left a bad taste for players A bit of passion from MT at last! Fiat play to the 350+ who travelled tonight.

Even Sheridan had a good game without Brookman interrupting her to wish Gladys happy birthday! Im starting to think she is more mellow without KB , good nights work from her bar telling me the s*** were winning! Strange how she suddenly raises her voice for pretty dull things like a throw in or reading out a score from another game though. It’s like she can’t pick her times to sound excited. Very weird, but she’s doing her best and you’ve got to start somewhere and radio Bristol is probably the lowest tier of radio.

What a transformation, great comeback and nice to see Matt address the fans, this will lift the squad.
Another 3 wins and we can plan for next season, would like to see then Kofi Shaw, Harvey Greenslade and Ryan jones get game time.

Looks like bare bones for Saturday unless we’ve got a couple coming back into fitness in time. If we show the same character and heart we did tonight there’s no reason we can’t get a result.

I can't watch this awful Sh*te anymore. Taylor hasn't got a clue. He is Tisdale Mk2 with the added charisma of Kier Starmer.

Just to be clear, I'm saying bring that style of football back, not Barton, since that's a daft argument. Trying to match up against these teams is not helping us because we are small, weak, not physical, scared, second to react, confused and generally sh**. All of our players can pass and move whilst we have a few players who are particularly good at that-Evans, Thomas, Hunt, to name 3. We can't realistically beat kick and run teams by playing kick and run because that's not how our previous manager set the team up. Also, tippy tippy with an occasional dart forward is better than spooning it out of play or giving possession away over and over. Just my opinion. I disagree with most of that to be honest. None of our wins this season have come from us trying to play pretty football. This idea that we’re a passing team capable of playing our way through the lines patiently is a myth. I can’t fathom how people see this do wrong in my opinion. Barton Taylor and Mangans wins all came with us getting the ball in their half quickly then going at teams quickly not patiently passing through. The reason we’re mid table is that far too many times this season we’ve tried to be something we’re not and something that won’t work unless we had the best squad in league 1. Think Burnley. They had the best squad last season and played very pretty football they’re trying it again in the prem and getting smashed whilst Luton who didn’t look anywhere near as good last season are battling their way possibly out of trouble. I dont see how what you are saying is an argument, maybe it's not? Pass and move is not necessarily 'patiently passing it through' is it.. We cannot match up against kick and run direct teams. We don't have the players for it. Watching tonight, we shifted the ball really well in the second half and managed to get the result. We kept it wide and created chances by passing in from wide areas. I'd say our win tonight came from nice football(whilst in possession) in the second half. If you think otherwise then we watch a different game or I don't see that as long ball direct play.

Quick pass and move attacking football. Stevenage look a good side from what I’ve seen of them this season. They don’t play hoof ball they play like we play when we play well. Difference is they do it every week which is why they’re pushing for the play offs, where as we’ve wasted half of our games trying to be some kind of league 1 Barcelona.

Can some of the more tactically minded people here tell me what exactly changed to make us go on to win?

It's a very difficult job but I think she was poor, calls too many things wrong (e.g Harvey Vaughan instead of Harry, saying we were in 11th place when we were 10th, thinking Evans had been sent off etc)

Taylor has to be admired walking over to Gashead s after game and saying what he did. Conteh sending off a bit harsh as I didn’t think a good old shoulder charge was banned and now a foul 😳. Will we appeal that ? Conteh and Evan’s now out for Northampton game which is a worry plus all the injuries. Watched the game at 3.45 am in Oz and though game was a good spectacle

Can some of the more tactically minded people here tell me what exactly changed to make us go on to win? Got our most direct attacking runner wider. Moved the ball quicker. Switched to 2 central defenders which gave us 2 wide players on each side of the pitch rather than one. Pushed higher up and pressed more. Took baggot off ( I think he’s been dreadful)
