Surely the question that needs to be asked is - why do we keep hearing tales of suppliers not being paid for work that has been done or goods supplied? Do we have a cash flow problem , a bigger financial problem or is there a system failure? In my case, all 3.

I've never seen anything concrete in it though?? The stories went away for a few years and now have resurfaced now we have new owners.

Questions that needs answering: - Sort the toilets!? - Sort the food on match day as variety and price is appalling. -who are we targeting to join the club next season, amidst what will be a whole raft of outgoings. No head of recruitment. Bright gone. Club Sec gone. Beverage guy gone. Andy media gone. 6 months.no incomings! Staff being hung out to dry, no support or help, doing multiple roles. To save some pennies! - will there be a better match day experience for families, like an 18s + environment at the minute.families and kids the future of the club. Give tickets to schools! - training ground plans or selling to move? - where are the plans for the new stand? Yes- answers to all of those questions please………🤔💙

The stories went away for a few years and now have resurfaced now we have new owners. There’s been 3 ownership models in those 8 years. I don't think any of them worked. The evolution not revolution model under DC where all efforts went into a failed chase after two stadiums at the expense of developing the squad. The Conference L1 sides we all admired so much was done on the cheap and they played their hearts out for DC The 'ask and ye shall receive' model under Joey B, which cost a lot and delivered us back to the place we'd started, a lot poorer. The Austerity model imposed on MT, with cutbacks all over the place and no direction or idea what will happen next except a lot of finger crossing. It hasn't been inspiring under Wael, other than his funding of the club. Yes that's a massive positive, but I think it's fair to say he and we expected more after 8 years.

How could we consistently lose £3m+ a season if DC was consistently doing things on the cheap?

The club is in a far better place than it was 8 years ago, 1) Wael bought the debt, 2) built the Quarters training ground, and more recently 3) has helped with building a new stand. Not sure what you expect, Rovers have generally always been in the third tier and still are today. The new owners were prepared to pay £800k a few months ago for JCH. Lets focus on staying in the league and see what happens in the summer.

Back to the Q&A, Hussain Al Saeed is also due to give an interview on R Bristol's Saturday Sport before Saturday's game. I dont expect any difficult questions to be asked or if they are, be answered. Especially if the ITV interview is anything to go by. It's a shame he isnt fronting up at the Forum as well given that he owns the show now.

Most regular fans just want to know what's happening with the stadium and next season's playing budget expectations etc, not whether the rumours about unpaid bills etc are true or not.

True, I'm just making the point that these stories have always been out there, since Wael was involved. Even before then, we were going bust under the previous owners every two minutes.

Even before then, we were going bust under the previous owners every two minutes. To be fair we probably were!! Wael and non payments revolved around fencegate so there was some truth to the bill not being paid, if not the reasons behind the non payment.

Do we have a cash flow problem , a bigger financial problem or is there a system failure? In my case, all 3. Oh! I think I know the answer to this one. We are recruiting for a Financial Controller but offering a salary around £20k lower than the going rate for that position.

If you think about it, the stories we heard about Wael and his family came out at pretty much the same time in their tenure. I wonder if its: a) Just natural cash flow management after and acquisition. b) Fans making stuff up to fit their own narrative. c) We are a bit sh.it and don't have the systems and people in place to manage this. d) We got owners with no money, so we should be starting the fans trust now with £5 a month DD from each fan. Then when it goes wrong, we can buy the club.

How could we consistently lose £3m+ a season if DC was consistently doing things on the cheap? You can easily work this out. Go back to the accounts and look at wages as a percentage of turnover. You will be able to see straight away what years the manager was backed and which ones they werent.

Fair enough for the head-in-the-sand types, but really you’d expect any “journalist” worth their salt to pick up on the current unease amongst a lot of the fans and ask their questions accordingly . . .

According to Radio Bristol yesterday, we had not even sold out the 150 places on offer. That is poor, given the amount of social media noise.
People failed to notice on this Forum that the Manager directly questioned after the match the source of Ali Durden's comment (via Owner's earlier interview) about lowering the average age of the squad, pointing out the need for experienced players, like Martin, Wilson and Sinclair.
My suspicion is that Taylor and the owners are not as aligned or collaborative as is required. A decent question or 2 on Thursday should probe this.
My early impressions is that Taylor is a straightforward, honest individual.
