So I calculate four wins in seven games. Some progress for sure. Conteh was massive again. Delighted he signed for us. Our new era will be built around him for sure. Some on here are just too quick to jump on and criticise and be knee jerk. For me, If Conteh is the start of our rebuild then I have confidence in Taylor’s ability to spot talent to move our team and club forward. We’ve had loads of injuries, missing top players, and we have done OK. We can do better but we can be happy tonight. I love how he rolls his foot over the top of the ball and hits a little drag back in the blink of an eye, it does the opposition every time for a total change of direction I haven’t seen a perm signing make such a good start in years. Absolute delight to watch. Manages to tackle his man but still give him a kick. Never panics. Once he gets more adventurous he will be incredible

And Carlisle were nowhere near the worst team we’ve played this season. Fair play to their fans too. Great support 👏

Holmegas1 who rattled your cage Good question. Just getting a tad fed up with all the negativity. The squad is imbalanced, and with all the injuries we are down to bare bones, so to beat Carlisle is still positive. We have also got to give the guy a chance. When I see “he will be gone by the end of the season”, I despair with these knee jerk reactions. I suppose that’s the world we live in. Maybe I need to chill, just more a half full than half empty supporter at the moment.

All about the team you play on the day. They weren’t that great, and we were far too pedestrian in the first half, but I would agree we’ve played against far worse at the Mem this season

You can see why, they had plenty of the game but looked totally toothless up front. If they had Martin, they'd probably beat us today. Just shows how poor this league is.

Anyway thankfully we won 99.99% of us gasheads want us to win every game the issues are the issues regarding the squad the management the owners and the stadium. Fast forward 12 months and it'll be more of the same I've been a gas head 45 years it's expected and accepted

Difference is you have one team playing for something (Survival) and one team playing for nothing Problem is that we need another 7 to 9 points to be safe - we should be playing for something - survival - ourselves. Carlisle have lost I think 7 on the trot before today ffs Edit - scored as I type - hoorah 50 pts will be safe this season

Carlisle signed some very good players in Jan and have given some good teams a run for their money. Why so many have to talk as though they are a pushover baffles me. We beat a tidy side today.

Last season we went to Accrington who were in the depths of relegation and lost dreadfully. They bullied us off the park. People forget very quickly!

Not sure why but, since Barton has gone, some Gasheads can't even be happy when we win. They just want Taylor and the side under him to fail. Very strange attitude to me. Even though I wasn't keen on Barton I always wanted him to prove me wrong, for us to win and celebrated the wins. I think some Gasheads have really changed and almost want us to fail to prove some elusive point they have in their head.

Usual slow start and what seems like the inevitable poor gosl conceded but we came back very well and deserved to win. We still look incredibly vulnerable on every set piece though, any corners or free kicks into our box seem to create complete chaos. Two superb goals, the piece òf skill from Brown to create the first goal and Sinclairs finish were both top quality. Carlisle were much better than I expected to be honest, they didn't look like a side so far adrift, we have definitely played worse sides this season Almost at the magic 50 point mark now, hopefully if we can get there with a few games to spare we can look at some our youngsters ahead of the summer
