Lansdown will never let this happen. Not much Lansdown can do now with the transfer window closed and having 3 different managers in a season rarely works. City's next 4 games are: Ipswich (A) Swansea (H) West Brom (A) Leicester (H) That's 3 form/promotion chasing sides, and a fellow S Wales relegation rival! Didn't they beat Southampton recently?? Are they like us and do better against the sides above them??

Not really interested on what the arrogant, history less franchise do but on the strength of this thread just popped over for a quick read of "Bitter & Twisted". It really cheers your Saturday night! Fancy losing that massive derby with there "main rivals". Meltdown fully under way. Everyone's fault. Manning, Tinpot, Pantsdown snr, pantsdown jnr. Even BBC Radio Bristol!?
Championship is really tight! They are 16th in the form table & play three of the top five in the next four games.
I might just follow with a bit more interest than normal!
It's the hope that gets you! Back to us - We are a point closer to the play-offs tonight than we were this morning!

Southampton beat West Brom on the following Saturday, I sense they targeted that game rather than the one at AG, City also lost at home to Leeds recently.

With only three going down from the championship, there is always one that is dead by Christmas (Rotherham this season) then normally one or two with big points deductions, although I don't think there have been any deductions in the championship this season?
If they were one place above the drop zone with a six point advantage then maybe. The fact that there are eight teams between them and the drop zone means they will be fine. Even if they do loose most of their remaining games.
Would be good to see the likes of Stoke, QPR and Birmingham come down. Some decent away games there at places we haven't been to for a long time.

I thought city were floating about in mid table. I don’t really follow the championship to be honest. Some quotes on their new manager:
‘’Worst football in years. Get rid of the clueless PE coach.’’
‘’ Get rid of the boring c***’’
‘’To many of these performances under manning. He’s out of his depth. As for Lansdown and Tinnion, truly **** off ’’
“Should never have been appointed. Gtfo now and take tins with you. ”
“Sack how, that's sum of the worst football I see in a long time“
“ Manning has lost the fans and the players it seems. He has to go.”
“Sack the doorstop!”
“Manning, his coaching team, analysts and most importantly TINNION all must go”
“l see lots of signs of concern, we're absolutely terrible, awful to watch.”
“Manning ball is boring football . Manning is clueless like Jon Lansdown”

150/1 to get relegated with Paddy Power...
It's obviously unlikely they will but it's not a 150/1 shot. Those odds could easily look very different in 4 games time.

Some of you will never learn. For how sh** they are doing. They are literally 10 years ahead of us(that's if we move fast and they stand still) The championship is arguably one of the best leagues in Europe too.

Much as I would love to see them relegated , i think they will do enough to survive again. They have a cushion of clubs below them and their season is taking on a familiar pattern, flirt very briefly with play offs before falling away to lower half obscurity. On another note just what City fans think would happen if they got rid of Lansdown goodness knows, he is not going to bankrupt the club by chasing the dream and City fans need to realise that, they should be careful what they wish for!

If they do manage to get themselves relegated then they'll be in the same division next season, how will that make them 10 years ahead of us? Next season we could be pushing for a top 6 spot whilst they are trying to come to terms with life in L1. Very unlikely I know but all a possibility.

I don't think anyone would disagree or does not know that, the question is are they in danger, and despite all their perceived advantages they are just a disastrous run from being in the same league as us.

I picked up a YouTube video recently in which the presenter claimed that the Championship was, for want of a better word, pretty sterile. He claimed it consisted of three layers - the top one being the clubs who could realistically get into the Premier. The bottom one were the clubs who would never get into the Premier and would probably drop into L1, yoyoing between the two. In the middle were two clubs who would never go anywhere - Preston North End and... Bristol City. He's probably right.

I've never really got the marketing BS about the Championship being one of the best leagues in Europe. It still feels like the second division of a reasonable footballing country to me. It's exciting at times like "It's a knockout" used to be but not much more than that. I've watched a few games lately and the standard seems pretty average. Ive even watched a couple of the TEDs games with friends who supported the opposition and they've been deadly boring. The league is continually dominated by parachute payment teams, exactly how the premiership would have it. Other than that it's all very ordinary

If we take it on money generated and attendances, it will be way above most European top divisions though. Depends on the metrics. For excitement, it and the Premier league are poor imo, only hyped up by marketing and sky sports.

Because they have double our attendance. Because they have top facilities. Because they spend millions whilst we spend half a pack of munchies. If they came down they’d be favourites to get straight back up.

The Sh*t could, but its unlikely they will be relegated, there are currently 9 teams beneath them and 22nd place. Personally hoping both QPR and Stoke come down, nice trip on the train to West London and a easy journey from Bristol to the potteries.
