Should the club finance the Girls Team? Absolutely not. Totally pointless. Its not cheap, and really, no-one cares about it. The owners need to concentrate on the real stuff and pump all energy and money into the men's side. I'm not a dinosaur, its just common sense. Wow what an ignorant pig headed opinion. Not common sense to me at all. Whether you like it or not Women's football is developing more and more all the time, especially with the recent success of the England team doing so well. I think there is money to be made in the future by investing im women's football now. Why ignorant if you are just expressing that you aren’t keen ? I don’t hate on it but just do not enjoy watching.

Bristol Rovers Football Club.
The sport is 'Football'.
It is a 'Club' which allows people involvement in football in various ways from player, manager, director, spectator, cleaner, steward etc etc.
The 'Football Club' is regionally placed ,in Bristol .
As a 'Bristol Football Club' the identity of 'Rovers ' is chosen to separate us from other clubs in the region.
As 'Bristol Rovers Football Club ' it should offer opportunities for all who want to be involved in the sport of football .
As a ' football club ' ,in my opinion . We should have a membership . An annual subscription . That everyone at the club should pay. From director to spectator ,player to steward.
So that we are all members of the football club with the aim of providing the best facilities and chances to everyone to achieve the best outcomes .
As such Members always get ticket priority and only members can buy season tickets.
A member for example may only have interest in being a spectator or kit cleaner of the under9s and have no interest in watching the mens first team. They however are still a member of the club. The will get their opportunity to voice an opinion or questions at meetings.
I would guess that then most members will want all aspects of the club to succeed even if they do not actively involve themselves with many parts of it.

I think the FFSC would have been a good vehicle to have tried this.

Can the Clubhouse bar be open all through the game? Can you take your Thatchers onto the Thatchers? Perhaps if the club is bringing the catering back in house, this could be a regular thing next season. Sunday roasts while watching the girls. Maybe some non footballing fans from the family may be enticed to come along to watch. No need for the shutters to be down?

Not everybody wants to be a member of a club, those that do can join the Supporters Club, which I believe gives financial support to the Gas Girls and the Development squad.

Pints were allowed in the stand

The club needs to build on this success. The danger if they don't is that players will be attracted to clubs with greater ambitions and the Gas Girls rise will falter.

Problem is we tend to advertise something once or twice on Rovers social media (ie preach to the converted) and then wonder why no one else turns up.

I have long gone past worrying what others think as it makes no difference but at least i do not post hate on socials. I just do not enjoy it fella. No point going further Football and women in shorts , what’s not to like ? Seriously though the standard is no where near the men’s game but it’s different , it’s like women’s tennis compared to men’s it’s not as quick or physical but it’s still worth watching in my opinion. I enjoy it and watch all the England games and some of the Prem league as well. I hope the Rovers get behind our women’s team more because it’s good for the game and also there is money to be made , looking at the crowds they get in the prem some of them are significantly higher than we get on a Saturday at the Mem. Woman’s football has come so far in such is short space of time and I think that can only be a good thing for the game. 1 in 5 supporters are female and I’ve always thought it’s bizzare how many women go to support their team but how few actually play it. But now it’s starting to even out.
