That’s true. There will be thousands, perhaps many thousands of West Country people that had a dream, a belief and made it happen for them, however they measure success. We don’t all need to be Mo Salah for our high belief leading to success in life on our terms. This, my friend, is relevant to life not just football. Many ingredients make for a winning footballer and a winning club. Of course, Mo didn’t do so well at Chelsea. Didn’t stop him believing in better. A few future top top players have failed at Chelsea. Enjoy your evening. Fans being successful in their own lives has no bearing whatsoever on the club they support, it's totally disconnected, if it then wasn't most of us would be living on the bread line or even on the streets! Rovers success is solely down to the owners and the managers etc they appoint. I agree. Absolutely spot on, although I think positive atmosphere from fans helps success. I went on a rant there. It won’t happen again. 😆

Inconsistency rules ok under this manager. We have the players to have got a result today, but the fawning love in for Derby by Taylor was never going to be a good start.
Not sure what Finley had for breakfast today, but it wasn't good.
Hey ho. Onwards to mediocrity!
UTG etc. 🏴☠️

On paper and in reality Derby were going to be the better side and they were, but we really did not help ourselves out there. Lack of care of the ball in possession, too many times we gave it away cheap, some inexplicable hopeful long balls but also some really careless passes or choice of passes. Gift after gift to a Derby side who were already going to be a big enough challenge. And another bug bearer of mine. Why do we (and other teams) play wide players on their unnatural side? Later in the second half we finally saw Vale on the left and Sinclair on the right and actually got some balls into the box wide in the final third. I just don't get why teams do it! So players can cut in and score with their stronger foot, LT can do it but I've not seen Sinclair nor Vale do it all season. Edit Apart from our last home game! So just a nice idea that doesn't happen. After Sinclair and Vale swapped sides later into the second half we started getting crosses in.

I can't see we had better options on the bench, other than possibly Brown for Finley but I assume MT wanted the latter's experience on the pitch.

Taylor was plainly starstruck by Derby and it showed in his tactics.

Thought the better team won, they were decent and in fairness probably the best team I've seen at the mem this season. Having said that we created our own problems by giving the ball away too often and in all honesty didn't create nearly enough. Had Marquis scored the sitter he missed we might well have had them worried late on but no complaints over the result.

Utter garbage today. Derby were by far the better team. before the game a mate asked me how good is this conteh as he hadn't seen him yet.
My reply was he's looked okay but let's see him against a decent team today.
In my opinion he got found out at the level required to be top end of League one. Obviously he needs time and will be given it and I'm sure he can make the grade but he wasn't up to scratch today along with pretty much everyone else in fairness.
Bad day at the office. We go again.

A bit harsh Wally singling out a young kid who’s been fantastic for us since he signed, there were far worse performances out there today, mainly the the south stand ultras 😂.

Why are some so keen to spot weakness? It's a team game, Conteh is reliant on players around him. If they are not playing well or not showing then he may struggle. He is still a good player.

Losing to Burton and Fleetwood at home was really disappointing, but to be fair to Derby County, they are a good side. We didn’t help ourselves with some of our defending and the missed chance by Marquis but, the best side won. Let’s hope we are able to build a squad in the summer to challenge next season. On today’s showing, some of the players will not be good enough to challenge the best teams in the league. UTG.

Personally i think we lost the game today in paying too much respect to the opposition and picking a very defensive team. What todays game did tell me was 1. We need an experienced keeper who is built to stand up to crosses into the box and the challenges that take place. 2. Hoole is definitely not the defensive answer as gets caught out of position too often. 3. We need a second striker to play up front with Martin and two decent strikers to back up on the bench 4.Most important we need to press from the front and not allow teams to dictate when we are at home.

We lost to a championship side and club today, I was impressed as well with their fans varied songs instead of our usual three. Proper cringe again today as well hearing the South Stand sing “West Country” I mean, what the feck does that mean or matter?!
As for the team, showed them too much respect, proper wake up call for our best players like Evans who looked bang average. Both full backs dire, well Luca looked like he hadn’t played for ages and Gordon is just a liability.
We have no direct pace upfront to stretch the game, they can bring on Waghorn and we bring on the Road Runner Marquis doing his BEEP BEEP, terrible player for a year now.
I’m a big Matt Taylor fan but we were not hard to beat today, Evans advanced never worked nor Sinclair, he has to take some criticism for the side and tactics.
