Seems like the Bristol post has opened a hornets nest with this one. It would seem they instigated the interview, accepted what Janue Hedges said as fact and then asked JB for his comments. What on earth did they expect by doing so, after all there is always two sides to every story and if as threatened JB takes them or Jamie to court it’s not a forgone conclusion who would win the case. Where Barton gave a response justifying his position - and not denying it or threatening them with legal action if they publish it. He even got a snide comment on the number of keepy-uppies in there. It seems to me that Barton wanted them to publish the story so he could whip up yet more publicity with his protestations of fabrications etc. He will claim that the media are trying to silence/cancel him because of whatever latest conspiracy he is peddling. Total loser. Storm in a tea cup for me. If making a staff member in the football industry do keepy ups constitutes bullying then I’m afraid we’ve gone a bit snowflake. Imagining far worse goes on on building sites. And to be fair our recruitment was a shambles that season we were relegated. Making anyone do anything with the view to humiliate them probably is the definition of bullying. There is a difference between: "Hey there, I hear you like keepy ups. Let's have a competition for some beers" Vs I am going to humiliate you in front of everyone by insisting that you do keepy ups and threatening your job if you don't do what I say. It must been have been terrible kicking a football in the air in front of his colleagues. |

What a horrible & just mean bloke Joey is. Poor Jamie, kid had a dream job at a young age only to be ruined by JB no doubt. Good to see him doing well at Aldershot now.
Only thing I would say about this is was he really leaking info to the press, I know he got on with Pirate and you have made public before you have been aware of things weather it he owners & that twat. If he’s telling other fans then it doesn’t look good. I have seen a lot of Jamie’s friends say things on Twitter in last 3 years as well.
The keepy up thing is just a disgusting act from JB. JB also hired a bloke with 2 murder charges (Chris Spendlove) but yet he’s a diamond of a scout.

I would often ask Jamie for tidbits of info, but you would have more luck getting blood from a stone. Totally professional in his role from my experience and the treatment he received is standard practice for Barton. I see he is denying accusations of being a bully now on twitter...by being a bully.
