If the manager thinks it is the players attitudes then I think we have to back him to bring his own players here in the summer, and if we're still performing badly THEN you look at the manager more closely. Having said that MT couldn't have done his homework as when he came in he made a point of saying part of the reason he decided to take the job was because of the squad of players we have. I can't recall MT saying this yesterday but assuming he did, then what does he mean about players not at the training ground, the Scouse contingent training together in the NW or the likes of Belshaw training alone?

Players not at the training ground. Can only think of two scenarios. First, as you say, players not traveling down to training. Or, players out like Trevor Clarke and Belshaw. Cannot imagine he means those out on loan like Connolly and Jed Ward.
Unless it's the youngsters.

I think we all knew we were on a hiding to nothing yesterday. Lincoln are on fire and are scoring for fun as recent results show, no team in this league can live with them at the moment. We’ve just played them at the wrong time. Time to move on.

Bang out of order , Roady posts what he genuinely knows and has proved it to be true numerous times , wouldn’t say that was tedious Some don’t like the hearing the truth. When we never had a mid week game, everything was set up and engineered around the two Mercedes Veto’s pulling back in at the Quarters ar 2pm on a Tuesday, even the players living local got used to the Bank Holiday Monday’s most weeks! No doubt in tomorrow being coached how to defend or 9am Tuesday. The apple cart has been well and truly upset. The difference now is Taylor is moving to the area and McAllister has left his son up at Hibs on his own back done here. Wayne Carlisle is local as well, all committed to the club, the Veto days are over. Three managers, one thing remains consistent, an inconsistent squad which has learned bad habits from the start. “I” hope “I” haven’t offended again telling the truth. You may well be right roady. The living away from your home to work probably only works for a short period and in football when things aren’t going well questions on both sides are asked. Good to hear club staff are becoming more local, it must be a positive change for the club. It may work in the short term but over a period of time it becomes more difficult. And of course you’re right about the only consistent thing about us is our inconsistency. But boy, roady, your posting ‘style’ really gets some on here going. You love a good wind-up. 😉 It’s entertaining to read and it gives me a good chuckle, seeing the difference between what you say and how you say it. 👍 And the bottom line of it all for me as a fan is that this season we’ve beaten some top teams when we’ve played well. Not sure we did that last season and now we are on for one of our best finishes this century. Someone has done a great job at lifting expectations amongst the fan base so that when we have a bad day like yesterday, the MDT reaches 39 pages with several meltdowns. Pure entertainment!! We have no relegation worries, owners are slowly putting plans into place and we have moved on with a decent (I think) manager in place who I hope will be helped to recruit some decent players to help us improve next season. It’s BRFC so nothing will ever be perfect buts it’s as good as it can be perhaps. MTs short term problem is managing players who know they may not be here next season and getting some pride into them to do a decent job over these next few weeks. I hope what you said a few weeks ago roady, that certain targets are likely to sign when the window opens happens. It won’t help MT in the next few weeks though and I don’t envy him managing those players. But we stick with him and the owners and plan towards the big picture stuff and not get sidelined by players who don’t perform. Should be an interesting time at least. UTG!

Finley doing the press interview … “ Lot of uncertainty in the Group - Lot of lads out of contract and don’t know what’s happening “ Maybe more accurate to replace uncertainty with sulking ? Can help you there Samuel - Vast vast majority you included will be moving on hopefully ! In an Ideal World our younger lads who are 100 % committed to the club should be getting their chance. I'm not certain who these players are who MT is struggling to motivate but if they want to stay or even get a good move how does giving less than your best help them? Surely you pull out all the stops to win a contract or if you want out then improve your chances of a good move. Talk of banishing some from the training ground suggests there are a few causing trouble and not helping the cause. These guys are earning £2k, £3K or even more a week and if they can't be bothered that's a disgrace. It’s simple really, they could be trying to play poker and get the manager the tin tack, maybe, who knows ?

From his interview - Asked if he thought some of his players had mentally checked out, Taylor confessed: "I'll be asking that question. I can see what they [supporters] can see.
"Let's be honest, it's a constant battle to get them to where they need to be in terms of being up for a game. That's a damning statement of where some of them are but some of their situations are out of my control. I've inherited it and it's always difficult when you come in mid-season and there's a big expected turnover at the end of the season but has anyone done themselves any favours?
"The biggest slap today is the result and the scoreline and the embarassment of that and there is also the bigger picture where decisions have to be made and those decisions can become easier as opposed to harder. It's a real shame and the supporters are right to ask that question."
The 42-year-old has repeatedly stated that there's still so much left to play for this season, regardless of what supporters may think, but strong words and home truths were declared by the Gas boss, who added: "How many games have we got left? Eight games of football still. Our supporters have come a long way and spent a lot of money in relation to today.
Taylor admitted when asked if the upcoming break is a positive or a negative. "They might need a bit of time away from myself. I certainly need a bit of time away from them
Reading between the lines, I think some stuff was said off the record to the journos. I like the fact he doesn't slag off individuals like B*****, but it is obvious some players aren't being professional in attitude. Perhaps that is where the fans ought to be looking..... His statement shows he recognises what a lot of the supporters see and why they are so frustrated! That’s some statement in saying he needs time away from, or some of, the players. Quite damning really

Good read and post that Wareham, my posting style is to the point and the truth, some don’t like it. I’m not always right, many on here will remember my continued support for Mark McGhee until the end, I was wrong and it was another living away from the family. It’s really simply, give him a window, we gave DC a relegation, we gave him Braintree and Altrincham away. The season we went down with him I was at Bury when he went 5 at the back and Tom Parkes wing back, we lost, it was terrible and then he wrote himself into Rovers history

I see a super successful season next year under Taylor and it is not a worry but a feeling of calm. But this is it , polar opposite posts , yet the proof will be in the pudding as none of us have a crystal ball!
More than likely the overhaul will now be bigger than previously thought , certainly judging from yesterday and what MT is saying.
All this leads me to believe the promotion bus season may be later than first thought.
MT still has my backing , but not sure he could motivate a Lamborghini , very dour and uninspiring pre matches...let’s see next season.
That’s a very odd similitude of motivating a Lamborghini 😂. Interesting though. Can inanimate objects be motivated ? I guess modifying would be the closest. In that case I guess he could modify some players, maybe stick a blower or turbo on them 😜. I love these type of posts, they appeal to my weird sense of humour

I don't understand the comment. When a new manager comes in mid season, surely there are many times that happens and players are out on loan? So maybe it is something else?

I can’t see the owners providing sufficient money for Rovers to be challenging for a top six finish next season. Talk is well and good but the stadium rebuild also has to be taken into consideration. It might not be the manager making certain players unhappy! The club has yet to have sufficient funds in 30-years for a second tier return. It certainly makes one have a long hard think about purchasing season tickets!!

Some supporters have already written off this Season, so does it follow that some Players have simply delivered that outcome? The 4 promotions since 2007 have all been accomplished with the Team underperforming for roughly half of the Season and over performing there after. In each promotion Season we have only just made it in time by a whisker. Does it say something about the Club's expectations that you do not need to be top of the table or there about (Portsmouth) when you can take it easy for the first half of a Season. Do we recruit easy riders or grafters?

Belshaw (I am a fan), I was very unhappy with the way both he and JB behaved. However, I am quite glad that we don't have him. He seems to be having an inconsistent time himself at Harrogate. I like the idea of Jed being the future in goal, however yesterday that shirt was weighing pretty heavy on him. Whether it was due to the England call up or the number of goals that Lincoln had scored in the previous two games but Jed just wasn't anywhere near where he should have been mentally yesterday. That back pass from Taylor which was fine. Then Jed missed the ball completely. For me, it was the time from the ball passing him to the time he realised what had happened was a cause for concern.
