I wouldn't be surprised if Quansah is in the squad come The Euros. He hasn't looked out of place at all when I've seen him for Liverpool this season. I think him and Levi Colwill at Chelsea are both better than the likes of Maguire and Dunk. |

Maguire will go and will start. No chance Quansah makes the squad barring injury crisis. |

A little bit of perspective is needed here. If everyone is fit, three of the four that started at the back don't start in June and even the one who is a guaranteed starter only lasted ten minutes. I am surprised Gomez or Branthwaite didn't start last night instead of Dunk. On one hand, Southgate wont take risks just before a tournament so I can see why he went with experience, but on the other hand, he not only called Mainoo up, he started last night which is very un Southgate like so close to a tournament. Foden is better in the middle, but you if you put both him and Bellingham in the three man midfield, Jude has to sit deeper and we don't get the best out of him. He should be used how he is for Madrid and that will require two midfielders to sit behind. Rice and one other. Whether is be Mainoo or someone else. |

Luke Shaw our best left back is likely out for the rest of the season,that's a problem,Gomez could play there . The real issue is Central defence , Maguire has no pace and has a mistake a game which makes us vulnerable,Fiden must play more central wasted on the flanks. |

I agree about Bellingham but what do you do with Foden? Whenever he plays in another position he doesn't look anywhere near as effective and upsets the balance a little in my eyes but he's also too good to leave out the first 11. As for the defence, they didn't look great against Brazil IMO and that was more like our starting defence. I don't dislike Maguire but he is one paced so we are vulnerable with pace in behind. |
