Not sure it could’ve been any worse today, we had a pair of dinosaurs behind us all first half “coloured this, coloured that” when trying to identify players on both teams, they thought Sincs was Vale & Vale was Sincs, believed Finley was Aguiliera & one was convinced the owner isn’t the actual owner of the club, he just owns the stadium. Oh & that 50 points isn’t enough & we’ll probably get relegated. We moved forward 8 rows for the second 45. Not sure if it was them; but someone in close quarters kept shouting “Sieg Heil” in the latter stages also. Facepalm central. Did you hear the few choruses of "we've got our Rovers back! '? That's what I love - the irrepressible humour of football fans. Staring disaster in the face and laughing. BTW - did you get home with the broken wristed driver? |

After 62 years of following Rovers I’m now doubting, for the first time ever, if I’ve done the right thing in renewing my season ticket? I’ve been through some crap over the years but not trying is the worst thing to endure. Today was amongst the worst of that. Hopefully at least some of them turn up Monday as I’m doing “Director for a day”. Feels like I’ve wasted my money at this point - booked before New Year (in hope). Well, everything about supporting Rovers is in hope isn’t it! UTG! Yes I know what you mean. But…. You sound a similar vintage to me wider and I can remember losing at home to Workington at Eastville back in ‘67 (Blimey, that was awful.) when they were the worst ever team in a Division 3, a drubbing at Crewe on a Friday night in ‘68 (I didn’t see that one), and a 1-4 defeat at York more recently (I did see that one.) Those were terrible. But the lack of effort, like today, is the worst. No excuse if you don’t try and that is unforgivable. A testing few weeks for MT methinks. Not all his fault, the players have to shoulder most of the blame but these weeks will test his ability to manage players who’ve upped sticks and are already on holiday. Good luck to him. UTG! Remember the Workington match. A very windy day and after being 1 nil down at half time I thought with the wind and how poor they were we would win easily. We were camped in their half for the whole of the second half. There goalkeeper Mike Rogan plated a blinder. |

I’ve been a big advocate of Taylor but he’s got a job on to turn this around. He should be given a window to shape his own squad but the signs aren’t good.

Like I’ve said on the other thread though, now MT has lost the faith of a proportion of the fanbase, it’s going to be a struggle for him. If he keeps his job, which I hope he does, and we don’t get off to a flying start next season, the knives will be out I’m sure. |

Matt Taylor inherited these players and I feel should not be criticised to this extent. We shall judge our manager from next season when hopefully the club will have signed decent players. The Lincoln City manager was facing similar pressure but appears to have turned things around! It is the easiest thing in the world to blame a manager who has inherited players who don’t seem to be putting much effort in. A good manager gets a performance out of any squad I reckon. I accept these are not his players but today ( and I was at the game) was unacceptable. He said one of the reasons he took the job, was the strength of the squad. If he didn’t mean that, a dangerous comment. I hope he gets to the summer, signs the players he thinks will let us mount a play off challenge next season and delivers. Jury out. totally agree 👍 he said he took the job because he believed that the squad was very talented and he hasn't got a tune out of any player since he's been in charged. I'm sorry but I've no faith in him going forward 😔 |

These toss pots have no place in a football ground, let alone at Rovers. Challenge them or grass them up to a steward, either way don’t let them go unopposed. I’ll be with Doctor F at Cheltenham and Wigan, trust me if anyone comes out with that crap anywhere near me they’ll know there and then what I think of them. |
