A good manager gets a performance out of any squad I reckon. I accept these are not his players but today ( and I was at the game) was unacceptable. He said one of the reasons he took the job, was the strength of the squad. If he didn’t mean that, a dangerous comment. I hope he gets to the summer, signs the players he thinks will let us mount a play off challenge next season and delivers. Jury out. totally agree 👍 he said he took the job because he believed that the squad was very talented and he hasn't got a tune out of any player since he's been in charged. I'm sorry but I've no faith in him going forward 😔 That is a manager saying manager things, much like when a player signs for a club. No point tearing the team down before you have got your feet under the desk. Got to try and create some positivity/confidence Got to be bloody frustrating though when he basically has to see who is fit on a match day. How many players are we carrying that are constantly injured and/or in out of the team. Josh Grant injured again (surely he is gone), Hunt injured again, done bits but can't get 40-50 games out of him now. Grant Ward, rate him, but has to me moved on can't waste wages on a bloke who manages 20-25 games a season. Rossiter (nuff said). George Friend will hopefully do well in his new role, but as a player was a complete waste of a wage and squad place. Macca seems to keep picking up knocks as soon as he plays. The back 4 keeps changing because someone different is injured, Crama, Baggot or both. A lot of change needs to happen and happen whether Taylor is the manager or someone else, but why sack Taylor now when presumably they are putting plans in place and getting themselves sorted for the summer. Why rip that up. Taylor needs to pick up some points to get some people off his back. Taylor needs to do better, but the players need to front up as well. Not all that many I would keep out of the 'best squad ever' |

Actions speak louder than words, a couple of things I picked up on yesterday which I haven't seen mentioned, when Evens & Finley were hooked there was no interaction with Taylor, also there seemed to be little interaction between Taylor and his players at the end, very telling in my opinion!

There are those (no names) who persistently accuse Rovers fans of being 'apathetic' and 'not holding the club to account'. It's never explained how this should be done. Effectively a football club is like any other business in the entertainment industry - cinema, pub, restaurants etc.. The only real sanction the customers have is just to not attend any business failing to meet their expectations. I've supported for 50 odd years and have bought my ST for next season. I don't delude myself that the owners will take a blind bit of notice of me, whoever they are. We’ve got the right to “demand” an owner spends £100m+ of their families wealth on a demolition and stadium rebuild instead of doing a £15m to £20m stadium upgrade (my guesswork) which exceeds anything anyone else has done for the club over the past 50 odd years !!! This is sarcasm? |

My overriding emotion both yesterday and today is one of extreme annoyance.
The appalling level of commitment.
Hardly ever first to the ball.
Very few physical challenges.
Clueless passing.
I could go on. But those who watched it will know what I mean.
So I am really annoyed with the players who are supposed to be professional but played like amateurs.
I will pass judgment on MT whe he has had a chance with his own team.
But so far, it has been little short of a disaster. He is clearly unable to get these players to play.
And his tactics don't inspire any level of confidence.
A few more games like that and the fans will turn against him.
Next game will be highly significant for him and his coaching team.

They’re obviously morons but you my little friend believe yourself to be righteous. Yet you did nothing and now you are trying to pat yourself on the back. Stand up for your views you can make the change! I have to agree with that. These toss pots have no place in a football ground, let alone at Rovers. Challenge them or grass them up to a steward, either way don’t let them go unopposed. I’ll be with Doctor F at Cheltenham and Wigan, trust me if anyone comes out with that crap anywhere near me they’ll know there and then what I think of them. The kind of person who’s saying that sort of thing isn’t going to think twice about resorting to violence should someone put them right. Not worth getting chinned for taking the moral high ground. These people are beyond being “saved” - you can’t reeducate the kind of person chanting this sh** at a football match. As for getting the stewards involved - they don’t attempt to resolve genuine safety considerations like people standing in the hatched alleys, smoking in the terraces/seated areas, use of flares etc so what makes people think they’re going to intervene over the use of some words? |

I once challenged somebody in the West Enclosure, him and his mates turned around and laughed at me, nobody else in the area spoke up, and the steward just continued staring into space! The outcome was that I felt humilated - never again. |

The game was always likely to be a struggle, but the way we presented them with the ball on the few occasions when we did have possession, was hard to take. We made it so easy for them. |
