I have to agree with that. These toss pots have no place in a football ground, let alone at Rovers. Challenge them or grass them up to a steward, either way don’t let them go unopposed. I’ll be with Doctor F at Cheltenham and Wigan, trust me if anyone comes out with that crap anywhere near me they’ll know there and then what I think of them. I once challenged somebody in the West Enclosure, him and his mates turned around and laughed at me, nobody else in the area spoke up, and the steward just continued staring into space! The outcome was that I felt humilated - never again. At least you did the right thing. |

To be fair.....if you have been told or have a strong feeling you aren't wanted, are you going to challenge for those 50/50 or 40/60 tackles? We don't know what the manager has said, but it would be poor management in the extreme to indicate unwanted players before the season has ended.
Keep your tinder dry, as just say all decisions will be made at the end of the season.

Keep your tinder dry, as just say all decisions will be made at the end of the season. I am sure most of them know what they are doing at the end of the season, even if MT hasn't spoken to them. Agents have been working since the close of the last window. A friends son who has just turned professional has had a number of [illegal] approaches, which he has ignored. There will be plenty that won't ignore them. Players that are going won't tackle as was evident yesterday. Martin looked as if he battling for a place and covered most of the ground, attacking, defending, battling in midfield, which seemed to have disappeared..... Sinclair was another one who actually tried yesterday, but didn't seem to be able to beat his man. I am sure attitude, demeanour and interaction with the manager has convinced some players they are away. It's difficult not to. |

I am sure that the players will be younger next season. And on much lower wages as well. Hopefully we get in a few decent youngsters but we also need to retain a few experienced players. Not too worried about a 25% cut in the wage bill *if true?* , as a good proportion of our wage bill this season was wasted sat in the stands or on the bench. |

All starts from the top...the club is run poorly, not very ambitious with any of its plans, they can say we are aiming for championship but the stadium plans will prove that they are not serious enough. Nothing about Bristol Rovers really blows me away and gets me really thinking we are going places. Unfortunately too many people accept us being so mediocre. It's no wonder the playing side of things never goes anywhere, I sit in the East stand with my old man and the club is supported mostly on a Saturday with people who just seem happy to be out of the house for 2 hours. It's also quiet and hardly very inspiring. Why don't we were want more as Bristol Rovers supporters, I genuinely think people have accepted we have historically always been average and shouldn't expect anything else. In silence and indifference too, as a fan base we have to be the most passive and accepting, even when fact has shown multiple mistakes. |
