Ronan Curtis seemed to prove his fitness at Wimbledon and obviously vast experience at League One level. Worth consideration? View Attachment 👀 I like the idea of this kinda of signing providing he stays fit after his injury, shouldn’t be playing in league two.

I like the idea of this kinda of signing providing he stays fit after his injury, shouldn’t be playing in league two. Isn't that the issue as apart from Bodin which Rovers player has ever managed to stay injury free after a serious injury? Josh Grant couldn't even remain injury free after the club sorted out the main issues. Assuming Wilson, Hunt & Ward are still here next season and Rossiter signs a new contract who many more "risks" can we take?

Not Rovers directly but…..
Stoke City transfer news - QPR defender Jake Clarke-Salter is a top summer target. Price likely to be ÂŁ5-7m and other clubs (including in PL) potentially interested.

Prior to his injury at the end of February 2023, I don't recall Curtis being unavailable for any stretch of time in the five years he was with us - think he was some way over 200 games in that time.
He was excellent in his first couple of years with us but didn't really seem to progress after that, and his form dropped off under the Cowleys (I don't think they really aligned). I have to say I wasn't disappointed that he turned down a contract offer from us last summer - which was supposedly on pretty basic terms, given he was going to be out of action for most of the season. All that said, I was pleased he made a bit of an impact at AFCW - and wonder whether Rovers old boy Lee Brown, who I think got on quite well with Ronan, had some influence on his arrival there.
If he feels he has unfinished business, RC could be a decent signing in L1; but, for me, there are some questions about his attitude.

Definite questions about his attitude, I've had that confirmed to me within last 24 hours by someone that has worked with him. Edit: It's a 50/50 one for me. Based purely on his ability and at the age of 28, I would probably take him. But, the other factors have to be taken into consideration like attitude and injury etc. Weigh up and evaluate the other potential player signing options and target the best one, and if that is Curtis, then so be it. 👍🏻

A Portsmouth player with a dubious attitude? Well, they said the same about Kyle Bennett, and that worked out just fine, didn`t it?

Nearly quarter of a century on I find it mad that ÂŁ75k for 2 years and 16 appearances from Justin Richards.

not my cup of tea but I can see us signing Amadou Bakayoko from FGR, theyve just been relegated, he must be based local (sort of) and hes a Sierra Leone international like Conteh. Also we've been linked with him before.
He's under contract but doubt it would take much to get him

Max Alleyne worth a poke? Father working back in BS7, Rovers have a good history with developing PL players in the last few years.

J.K. Rowling's son is supposed to be a Rovers fan! Maybe one of her transgender fans will bump her off so he can pump his inheritance into the gas!

J.K. Rowling's son is supposed to be a Rovers fan! Has anyone ever successfully switched from Quiditch to football?

At least Bennett gave us a few months of decent service before deciding to put his feet up

JK herself and her parents were from the Yate area so perhaps her son's rumoured interest in Rovers has been handed-down?

JK herself and her parents were from the Yate area so perhaps her son's rumoured interest in Rovers has been handed-down? Born in Chipping Sodbury Cottage Hospital, family lived in Yate briefly. I don't think either parent was actually from Yate, or even the surrounding area.

No better than Greenslade who we just released. Ethan McGee and Aodhan Doherty at Linfield are both decent
