Matt Taylor's first two permanent signings are Kamil Conteh and Chris Martin. Not a bad start. Surely it makes sense that he will now start to look towards Exeter City and Rotherham United for other potential signings. Joey Barton signed Chris Martin www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2023/september/Chris-Martin/Initially. YES. I understand your point. However, it was a short term deal only. On 24th Jan 2004. MT is manager. BBC Sport reports:- "Striker Chris Martin has signed a contract extension at Bristol Rovers."

Does that mean if Sinclair, Rossiter and Hoole sign extensions then we can claim them as Taylor signings too? Excellent stuff !

Rumours the Lincoln manager could be poached by Plymouth That would help our recruitment chances you’d think! They have a DoF and I doubt the recruitment plans will change too much. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68250828

Devon mafia is funny to be fair. Both Kite and Hartridge are League One players, top 6 not so sure. Really nice lads the pair of them. Lets see if they sign and give them a few games before we start the pile on may I respectfully suggest. Oh yeah cracking players, not even in the starting 11 for Exeter… also the stats worry me when a defensive midfielder has 0 yellow cards… does the lad tackle? I fear this lad will be pushed off the ball with his physicality! HUGELY underwhelming signings if we end up with these two.

When the bookies have us already down amongst the bottom rungs then we will need to splash out to convince anyone of note to join the field of dreams for the coming season.

How can bookies set odds now when they don't know if Bolton or Oxford will be in L1 next season? because they're a business and people want to bet on things?

Would love a "Morning/Afternoon Gasheads" today! Although the new media guy seems a little less conversational and a little more focussed (havent seen one tweet sent 4 times to correct errors in a while when it used to happen every time!)

It looks like sky bet has us at 12-1. We were 10-1 last August: www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-rovers-league-one-odds-8648121.ampTo be honest, considering the number of players that have left/been sent back to their clubs this season only a 2 point adverse shift in odds is a pretty good start.

Two options on a free from MK (not)Dons... Dan Kemp an AM to possibly replace Evans if he leaves? Scores and creates Warren O'Hora - centre back that played 45 games last season and has played in League.

Some good players in League Two that didn't get promoted we should be poaching 👌
Max Dean I like at MK Dons
Longstaff from Notts County (unlikely)

Jack Diamond also available after being released. Looked great against us but seems a bit up and down in terms of form, not surprising really with the rape/assault allegations going on which he has now been cleared of.

Barnsley have released Cole and Cadden. No chance I guess?

Could try a double swoop for Baggott to return and Corrie Ndaba from Ipswich 🤔

If we did get him that would mean both our strikers suspended for the start of the season

Barnsley have released Cole and Cadden. No chance I guess? Reading up on that at it seems a few championship clubs have been looking at him . Didn’t realise he is already 29 and his goal scoring record although good this season , he’s only averaged a goal every 3 games whilst at Barnsley. Personally I’d be surprised if he gets a championship gig . Still out of our pay league though I’d guess.

Over the years haven’t we learnt that it’s best not to judge players we sign until they actually play for us? JCH springs to mind, I’m sure there are others. Atm we haven’t signed anyone so a tad premature to moan about players we haven’t signed. UTG!
