Didn't realize he was a little on the large side. I'd really welcome Nombe. Not so long ago this was his form (Look away at 1:08, 2:09 and 2:19!):
Still not sure I can forgive Jevani Brown for his ear-cupping celebration at the Thatcher's end.
I had forgotten how annoying that game was!

Wait a few years before saying this🤣 At least the fans of Wycombe and Burton can see the pedigree of their new owners and board members. Serious players. A club in one of the biggest cities like us should attract significant interest, but unfortunately for us, serious owners won't want Wael lurking in background clinging on to his 40%, or whatever it is. Given Wael has spent £10m's on Rovers why shouldn't he "cling on to his share", would you just walk away from a football club if you had invested similar money in the club? Would we even still have a club if it wasn't for Wael.

Sam Nombe has been told that he is not required at Rotherham. Maybe a signing in the pipeline? Maybe more of a pipe dream?

Another ex player dropping a division, it's looking likely that most will have to drop a division or more. Although that's usually par for the course most transfer windows!

Good for Burton but yeah I don’t really get pumping money into very small clubs already way above their “natural level” Will end up with the champ full of teams with <5000 crowds and the national leagues full of 10-20k traditional teams at this rate!

Why do you make yourself out to be a dick with a reference to the squad assembled. Finley was a great signing at the time and has done us proud. People were raving about our squad at the start of last season but that is football. Finley is now nearing the end of his career and there was only one way he was going which is why he was released.

That's a bit harsh Steve. I'm not sure how may of us actually bought into the hype about Barton's squad.
Personally, sorry to see Finley go. I've not watched every minute this season, but I thought he could still do a good job for us in L1 as player and leader.

Maybe he's a fan and wants to continue playing a part. 🤔 Only met him a couple of times but there is no doubt he is a Gashead, like us but with more dosh lol. I firmly believe he did the deal believing it was in the best interests of his and our club. Lansdown has invested millions and other than once have never even got near to the promised land.

Sounds like they have more owners than fans🤣. Good for Burton but yeah I don’t really get pumping money into very small clubs already way above their “natural level” Will end up with the champ full of times with <5000 crowds and the national leagues full for 10-20k traditional teams at this rate! Whilst I can understand what I think you’re getting at percy, if those clubs are in the Championship or already above their “natural level” on crowds under 5000 and clubs with 10,000+ in the NL does that make the smaller club very well run to be over-achieving? And is the club with the big crowds wasting them and under-achieving and possibly being badly run by being in the NL? Let’s face it no lower league club is surviving on crowds alone. All clubs have rich owners. We have to wait and see if Wycombe with thei new owner and Burton start spending above what we might expect. We were told the AQs were wealthy but, with hindsight, did they use it wisely to progress us? Or did they spend just to keep us treading water. And by keeping his minority % is he actually stopping us being an attractive proposition to someone who may be wealthier and prepared to match their vision with their finances? Something ultimately WAQ wasn’t prepared to do. Difficult questions I know. Tin hat firmly on!! 🤔 UTG!

More to the point, look on a map. Burton is within easy distance of Derby, Nottingham, Stoke, Leicester and Birmingham. Are Burton therefore ever likely to pull big crowds, and therefore be self-sustaining?

With a city as big as Bristol and the surrounding catchment area, surely the now Wycombe and Burton owners enquired about us too? Strange if not, considering the potential of the respective clubs. And as you have intimated, any serious investor isn't going to want Wael hanging around in the background. With this regime, I'm just hoping we can tread water and avoid another relegation back to the basement division.

Can you post a link to where Wael ever suggested he wanted to keep a minority %, for all we know he may have been happy to sell up entirely but the Al Saaed's, or any other prospect purchasers, weren't prepared to buy him out.
