Whilst I can understand what I think you’re getting at percy, if those clubs are in the Championship or already above their “natural level” on crowds under 5000 and clubs with 10,000+ in the NL does that make the smaller club very well run to be over-achieving? And is the club with the big crowds wasting them and under-achieving and possibly being badly run by being in the NL? Let’s face it no lower league club is surviving on crowds alone. All clubs have rich owners. We have to wait and see if Wycombe with thei new owner and Burton start spending above what we might expect. We were told the AQs were wealthy but, with hindsight, did they use it wisely to progress us? Or did they spend just to keep us treading water. And by keeping his minority % is he actually stopping us being an attractive proposition to someone who may be wealthier and prepared to match their vision with their finances? Something ultimately WAQ wasn’t prepared to do. Difficult questions I know. Tin hat firmly on!! 🤔 UTG! Can you post a link to where Wael ever suggested he wanted to keep a minority %, for all we know he may have been happy to sell up entirely but the Al Saaed's, or any other prospect purchasers, weren't prepared to buy him out. You really think so? You may be correct but I suspect you don’t really think that! And I guess that’s the point others have made. Without that minority holding we may well have been a more attractive proposition than Burton and even, perhaps, Wycombe. It’s only an opinion Topper but I think we’d be an attractive option in a city like Bristol with few larger clubs around us competing. After 8 and a half years I think we all know WAQ likes his celebrity and owning or even part-owning an EFL club can be used in his dealings around the world. Serious owners would likely not want to be in that position. But by all means you carry on thinking that and you may well be right that he was prepared to sell all his stake but if that was the case and the ASs couldn’t afford it all, then Wael could be accused of not ensuring we were sold to owners who would be able to take us forward. Of course, I’m not saying that it, but it would be the natural alternative to what I’ve suggested. And in the end we don’t know and are unlikely to know unless someone comes on here with some definitive information. UTG!

If he goes to Shrewsbury in preference to us, that will be a huge put down.

Bit of League Two news After a few years out of the game, it was good to see Nnamdi Ofoborh return last season and what a return it was. Produced some great numbers in his early appearances and now looking to make up for lost time. Having signed a new contract at Swindon, he should do really well for them next season. I'll stick my neck on the line and say he'll do well. From afar he's a coach I've admired and been an interested onlooker to the work he's done in the background working with some top managers, but as we are fully aware, good coaches don't always make good managers! However he does have all the qualities needed to be a success and now its over him to make that transition from coach to manager and prove himself as the main man. It will be interesting to see how he gets on. www.coachesvoice.com/cv/chris-davies-interview-liverpool-leicester-celtic-swansea/

Unless it's all bots replying to the announcement the fans, oddly, seem to think he's a good appointment.

Wouldn't be surprised if we are one of the clubs in for Longelo Attachment DeletedEdit: scrap that. I'm told we aren't one of the clubs interested.

Be interested to see who picks up Ateef Konate after leaving Forest. Didn't seem to make it on loan at Oxford but maybe learnt a few lessons about what it takes. Had a seemeingly decent spell back at Forest in the Premier League 2 also.

As for Konate, Leeds United, Derby County, Sunderland and Huddersfield Town all linked.

I’ve heard Harry Kite is done, club won’t announce for a couple weeks yet. Also Hoole is still in talks over a new deal. Lloyd Jones at Charlton is a target, Plymouth born, played for Cheltenham & Swindon this way.
