Iâve heard Harry Kite is done, club wonât announce for a couple weeks yet. Also Hoole is still in talks over a new deal. Lloyd Jones at Charlton is a target, Plymouth born, played for Cheltenham & Swindon this way. So basically you repeated the common rumours on this thread in the hope that one or two of them might be right? I doubt anybody really has a clue what's going on at the club.

So we have 2 rumours today? Moore a CB who I assume would be free as out of contract and someone we are paying some money for? Anyone know any more? I think you may have been right on this one.

Burton Albion are closing in on a deal to sign Queenâs Park player Alex Bannon after the two sides agreed a fee for his services, according to a report via Daily Record Sport.
The 20-year-old recently signed a new contract with the Scottish side but after impressing new Brewers boss Mark Robinson, Bannon is set to complete a six-figure switch to the League One side.

If you mean Alex Hartridge as the CB I really do not think we will be missing out on anything. Both these players in my opinion are no upgrade for us.

Iâd like to see us get davis kellior Dunn. The only Dunn we will get is Dunn over! Iâm happy as long as the vultures are not circling around our key players, for me they are Taylor, Jed, Thomas and Evo Keep them, build around them and add some real fire power and pace up top and we should be fine. Iâd like to see us attempt to sign Elkan, get Aguilera back and look to sign 2 promising young strikers We arenât that far away, just need to keep hold of our assets! UTG

Luca Hoole Extend Shaun Rooney>>> St Mirren Joe Edwards Fee 2 CB
Elkan Baggott Loan/Fee Marvin Ekpiteta Free Sean Raggett>>> Rotherham Romoney Crichlow Fee Alex Hartridge>>> Wycombe Wayne O'Hora Free Taylor Moore Fee Miguel Freckleton Free 2 LB Rio Adebisi Free Nesta Guinness-Walker Free Clinton Mola Free 1 DCM
Jordon Rossiter Extend Jeando Fuchs Free 1 Mid Marc Leonard Fee/Loan Harry Kite Free Sam Clucas Free Liam Sercombe>>> FGR 1 AM Chris Conn-Clarke Fee Brandon Aguilera Loan Dan Kemp Free 2 Wingers Scott Sinclair Extend Ronan Curtis>>> Port Vale David Ajiboye Fee Harvey Vale Loan 3 StrikersJCH >>> Rotherham Utd Laurent Tolaj Fee Will Evans Fee Charlie Wyke Free Jaidon Bartolo Fee Stephen Humphrys Free So if true Moore plus Baggott would be the 2 required CB slots filled (assuming no departures). I think we have had our hands bitten by supposedly goalscoring players from Scotland. Duffy was ok but Riordan, Reilly and Cameron were meant to be 15-20 goals a season players who could easily adjust to English football. As mentioned on the Scott Hendy thread, Gary Warren had a decent career in Scotland, playing in the top division and Europe, but didn't get taken on after a two week trial at Rovers and would have been something like 2 levels below National League south at the time. I am not sure of the equivalent of Scottish Championship and leagues 1 and 2 with the Welsh or Irish leagues but I think good players in league one in England can make the grade at a lower Scottish Prem club, (Ayunga etc) so Scottish league 1 must be similar to National league South.

Alex Bannon played as a centre half last season. Surely you judge a player on their individual merits/ability and not what an entirely different player did years ago?

Very true, but I don't think the standard is that great. Many players have looked outstanding playing at a level that is too easy for them. People moan about the likes of Connolly or Gordon, but how good would they look if they played for Queens Park?

Was just looking through some of the past clubs the top scorers in League One this season played for previously. Hythe Town, Worcester City, Leamington, Southport, Hyde United and Shildon on some of their respective CV's. Always gems playing below their 'natural level' to be discovered in places like Scotland, Ireland, non-league and elsewhere.

The problem is we rarely find them in recent years, the Aldershot winger, Mensah, was totally useless.

After watching Soccer aid tonight, Stephen Bartlett looked decent nearly getting a hat trick. He could also invest in us. đ

Stevenage have got a good player in Dan Kemp, did very well for Swindon on loan last season.
