The news everyone really wants seemed to have gone unnoticed.
We have drawn Swindon and Exeter in the EFL Trophy.
I like the fact they delay naming the u-21 side as everyone is clearly on tenterhooks!
Would be nice to get Arsenal or Spurs though, rather than Chelsea or West Ham again.

It's baffling how Rotherham are getting around the SCMP/FFP rules and also where the money is coming form to fund all these expensive looking deals, given that they also seemed to spend a reasonable sum in transfers last summer rather than just banking the money.

Just sold a GK for £1m and don't think they've spent anything on transfers fees yet |

I wonder if we were ever seriously going to sign Dawson, as it seems a bit odd to send Ward out on loan or have him sat on the bench. I'd have thought a goalie to compete with rather than to replace Ward is what we need..

You’ve got to go for the best players possible in each position though even if it means potentially putting someone like Ward on the bench, and as it stands, I’d say Dawson is better than Ward. Plus learning off someone of Dawson’s experience would have been fantastic for young Jed. We move on though and I’d still be happy with Ward next season. But a new GK is still a must with Cox returning to Brentford. |

Only if we can afford better, given how much Rotherham seems to be spending then I doubt we were ever in the race for him, unless they only showed an interest when somebody broke the news he was heading our way.
