Kite’s father has posted a photo of Kite & MT laughing together in the last couple days & follows Bristol Rovers + Bristol Post Live. As good as done IMO. Also the post you're on about is wishing him a happy birthday with loads of pictures He also follows Yeovil & Torquay so basically nothing Westfield's posted suggests that he's joining us, if he was I'd have thought he would have joined us today.

Hope it works out for Matt here this season.

An interesting and enthusiastic interview. Hopefully that will put an end to the cheap “ monotone” jibes from some.

is this more of the FFP situation, albeit with the NFFC owner moving players between clubs ?

Don't really understand the monotone Matt stuff. It is childish and nobody benefits, feels like there are some that just wind themselves up.
MT isnt paid to be a comedian, but manage a football side. Big turnover of coming and goings over the summer, the players brought in look good on paper aswell.
Got to be time to move on, get behind the club.

Not too worried as thought he was overrated by some fans , he didn’t really produce much when on the pitch for us.

Really odd that Charlton are happy to sell him after one season and to what will probably be a promotion rival to boot.

Really odd that Charlton are happy to sell him after one season and to what will probably be a promotion rival to boot. On a League 1 forum a few Charlton fans felt that May wasn't a Nathan Jones type of player and was regularly subbing him at the back end of last season and that this was going to happen....they can't get their head around it and are hoping the money allows them to strengthen the squad.

This has been all over the Huddersfield Forum for the last day or so, as he had already had a medical with them and Brum stepped in. (They see Brum as big competition to go straight back up). Interestingly no one talked about the transfer fee, but allegedly May was on £5k per week at Charlton and Huddersfield offered somewhere between £7k - £10k. Brum blew that away, with some quoting £20k per week. Huddersfield fans seem to see that as too much, with a 3 year contract, for a 31 year old who has never played in the Championship, even if he has scored 20+ goals for the last 3 seasons. Wow a striker is going to be expensive !

Few posts on X tonight suggesting we are in for both Jordan Shipley (of Shrewsbury) as a replacement for Evans who is now off to Birmingham…. Also mentions of Niall Ennis - which seems strange as he’s only recently joined Stoke?
