The owners are to blame for getting Taylor he was always the cheap option The board needs to set a target by the end of October . I would say we need to be top 10-12 . If he don't improve things then they need to act. Deep down they must be disappointed like most fans .

Anyone who watched league one and two highlights will be able to see just how far off being competitive we are. When bottom of the table league 2 sides play at pace, can shoot etc... Its worrying, because they'd beat us comfortably. People might say we've got nothing to play for but neither did Wigan yesterday and we made them look like world beaters. I have no idea what is wrong at the club, but we have a massively important summer coming up, I do think it's going to take some significant investment to even make us a mid table team.

The division.may not have the glamour and well supported clubs of the last few seasons but there are a lot more ambitious ones joining the other well run ones . You look at the teams there for next season and you already think who will we finish above.

Just got back..
From a wonderfully mediocre season and last game whimper...awful...not good enough.
Absolutely brilliant the Gas family encompasses solo traveller, family, groups and couples alike...met another new to me fella, good on you, T.
Absolutely fine fettle moods in and around Wigan from she Shaven Moon to the shoot shoot shoot the bar steward establishments....not least to mention a big shout out to Station Cafe opposite Wallsgate that got the ball rolling...gert lush if ever we deserved a decent start.
Anyways, onto more less important things:
Jed Ward lad take a bow....3 saves in first few minutes kept it respectable. My m o m
Scotty tried. So did a few others. Nice clearance from Wilson off the line, but defence fella of moment once again, Bags. Nice debut for Kofi....some p*ssed up fella thought it was Gordon on! Haha!
And that's about it.
Their no 17 Good a genuine gem ...his trickery left and right baffled us. A true wizard. One to watch next season...
Jed Ward respectable. Matt Taylor not so much. Hardly recognised fans on final whistle. Not for the first time.... he's not enamoured himself with the majority of fanbase.
Some shirts went into the crowd. Some tears on final whistle (celebrations or commiserations?) presumably of boredom...?
Never have I seen such mediocrity been celebrated so much, by so many to so few that actually appear to care..
Ps....oh and some of our songs are becoming embarrassing. But then again, I'm old fashioned.
Enjoy the summer break, Gas and see you then other side..... it'll be a genuine pleasure connecting back up again! UptheGas..

Agree about some of our songs becoming embarrassing, I’m not sure singing “We’re ****” sh** “ constantly during the second half exactly encourages the players,, even though it was poor. And some twat threw a smoke bomb from the back which landed amongst our supporters before bouncing onto the pitch. A bit like the idiot that threw a firework at Reading into the home fans. Hopefully banning orders incoming on both counts. Football poor but a decent day out otherwise.

Absolutely terrible performance today, but the burning question in the thread title still appears to be unanswered. Was he or wasn’t he? On the bench apparently, which probably means nothing of note took place at the awards? You're the first person to say he was there. Spoken to at least 10 people who have confirmed he wasn't

I assume the full match replay is now on iFollow so probably easy to now check if he was or not?

Also, Dusty checked for JMcC's initials on the club clothing of those on the bench, and it seems that there was nobody wearing it.
