Since the transfer window slammed shut in January we have played 18 games.
We managed to score a whopping 13 goals
We did ensure there would be some entertainment in the games though by conceding 29 goals.
That screams relegation loudly.
MT better get his act together over the summer.
The standard of football needs improving vastly as does the belief we can score goals.
From the outside the over used " he has lost the changing room" phrase does appear to be the case.
A vast turn over of players will be needed. Not because they are not good enough but because they appear to have lost direction and feel good factor.
New players with a upbeat attitude will be needed .
Evans,Sinclair,Thomas ,Brown , Rossiter ,Finley ,Marquis ,Gordon ,Ward, Wilson ,Hunt ,Hoole and possibly even Taylor and Martin may all be gone
I dont think next season will be as disappointingly mediocre as the 2nd half of this season.
We will either be right up in the playoffs or down with the relegation fodder.

When they had 2 clear cut chances in 3 minutes, we knew how this was going to play out. We had no shape, no pace, no striker…it pains me to say I made the right call not to go today. This summer is probably the most critical one we’ve had in a long time that I can remember. We are replacing 80% or so of the squad. We can’t get this wrong

No great improvement year on year, few points and a couple positions up, I suppose never really in trouble but expected a top 10 finish so a disappointing season on and off the field. The last couple of months have been about as uninspiring as I can remember as a very long time Rovers fan.

Most people I no who are gasheads have now given up going to games. across the board I would say its a massive drop in sales and will be the lowest for many a season.you need entertainment to encourage fans into the ground and not this prehistoric football the frightened man plays. |

But at least we weren't relegated, or never really in danger of being relegated, you sense that's really as good as it gets at Rovers as we never seem to mount a serious play off/promotion push and Port Vale show how easy it is for a similar sized club to get relegated. |

I agree with most of what you’ve said. It’s been a strange season in that 57 points and our final position is up there with our best seasons this century yet there is a huge negativity surrounding the club at the moment. If JB did anything he certainly raised the expectations of the fanbase on here. I’m not sure that’s realistic but seeing who’s in the play-offs we should at least be challenging. And we haven’t. Please MT when you start recruiting, invest in some pace and start by recruiting 2/3 strikers. I’m sure we’d look and play better and certainly defend better with some balance in the team so that we’re not always on the back foot and being forced on the defensive. Our current defenders would look much better without being forced back. Its all a far cry from that opening draw at Pompey when we looked good and Pompey maybe fortunate to get a draw. UTG! |

Lets not leave it to late and get new manager soon so he can then put his own team together and not try to bond with M T choice of
