I checked on ifollow and could see Wayne Carlisle and Kevin Bond, but not JMcC. Also, Dusty checked for JMcC's initials on the club clothing of those on the bench, and it seems that there was nobody wearing it. Hopefully he had his initials on his suit at the awards dinner so when he wandered about headbutting people he was recognised and no chance of mistaken identity 😁!!

And saved them having taken charge in March. Took them from 19th to 18th. 10 points from 11 games. MT 8 points from last 11. Neither very inspiring tbh! Matt Taylor had a transfer window and three months longer, Monk inherited the players approx second week of March and had 6/7 weeks. Hardly a fair comparison.

The board needs to set a target by the end of October . I would say we need to be top 10-12 . If he don't improve things then they need to act. Deep down they must be disappointed like most fans . They’re not fans . . . Well I'd agree with that. They seem to approach managing us with the same passion a new Building Society manager does.

If they are looking at it as a business, then we could become a sustainable one. While we are making losses, we are only a couple of years away from selling the stadium... (not in the know, before anyone hits the panic button).

Well I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m so glad that car crash of a season is over!! We’ve had seasons far worse, relegation to the conference springs to mind, but I felt it was a chance to renew when that happened and I felt optimistic of the new adventure of non league football. But this season was a season like I can’t remember in all the time I’ve been a gashead, I don’t know why really, maybe the disappointment of the end of August, knowing our chances of competing at the top end had effectively gone I don’t know. My thoughts on next season? ……… Let’s enjoy the summer ladies and gentlemen!!!

My thoughts on next season? ……… Let’s enjoy the summer ladies and gentlemen!!! It's weird aint it. We have just had one of our most successful seasons in league one this century and yet it does feel a bit flat. It must be because we got so whipped up into a promotion frenzy at the beginning of the season. Most of us (including me) were taken in by the best squad in modern history rhetoric. They may have been if they had played 40 games together but alas, the injury prone got injured. Or maybe as a club, we are better off being a big club in a small pond? My understanding with MT is that he wants to play on the front foot with a high press and pace in the transition. That is the kind of football that I will happily watch next season. Lots of chanting "Get into em..."

I just read the Wigan team list on the BBC Sports website and it’s no wonder we didn’t score if they had Mr Tickle in goal! (I do appreciate that we needed to have a shot on target too).

The one in my head chatting to me throughout the Wigan game, saying: "Why are you watching this sh**e in the freezing cold?" 🏴☠️
