The prospect of a MT squad overhaul terrifies me. He made a complete pig’s ear of Rotherham’s squad last summer, signing a load of over-the-hill crocks. He is blamed by many for Rotherham’s shocking season. I also vividly remember his speech to the Rovers players when he arrived about how good the squad was and that’s why he took the job etc. Does this guy know a decent player when he sees one? I’m not convinced. Not shown any sign of that so far by his only signing Conteh, 21 years old, in his first season of league football and rated highly. Maybe he learned a lesson. That's what history is for. |

It seems unlikely the list will now be released tonight, it's hard to believe that the club can't even released the retained list on time. imagine it has to be approved by the previous manager seeing as he apparently is still in charge of the players |

We have to be fair - the actual publication is probably not MT's job, responsibility. |

Owner unhappy we have two over the age of 35 on the retained list… delayed while alternative targets are looked at !
Argument over goal bonuses - A huge bag of greenshield stamp books have been found in a cupboard and seem an ideal way of rewarding player effort instead of cash.
If you don’t know what Greenshield stamps are ask your Gran … she loved them.

We have to be fair - the actual publication is probably not MT's job, responsibility. It seems a bit odd releasing it when most club employees will have left work for the day. Given the list is mostly MT's work you'd have thought he had some say in when it's released to the press. |

The people it affects will (or should know) what their position is. Thats the only thing that really matters. It's not us without a job. If it doesnt get released til tomorrow its not that big a deal |

I actually looked on the Announcing of the retained list and Leavers as closure on a season where I have right royally felt let down at times by the squad.
As long as it happens this week please Rovers !!

If they can't even get the small things right, the bigger stuff is a worry |

Monotone has been telling everybody and anybody who would listen that all the players are frail and its not his fault that during the past six months he has been unable to get a squeak of a tune out of them; finally after taking another walloping at the hands of the high flying Wigan last Saturday, he sticks his head out of his shell claiming by the order of the peaky Gasheads the retained list would be published today, ffs he cannot even deliver list of names on a scrappy piece of paper. The irony of name calling “monotone Matt” when every one of your posts reek of the same tone. Peter Pooper is much more boring than Taylor. |

Just a guess but the two lads who were part of MT's team at Exeter and Rotherham will be rejoining him. Scott Brown (ex Cheltenham) is a GK coach, and Dan Green. Evans will want his own staff at Rotherham. This can not be correct. We were told that staff would be BRFC appointments that would stay no matter the manager. Those appointments would be a Taylor mafia and directly opposite to the owners words. |
