If we somehow win this thing it will be in spite of Southgate rather than because of him. Hes managed to get top level players playing like lower end championship, quite a feat.

If that was Rovers some would say manager has lost the changing room.

Let’s be brutally honest here, take out the two deflected (in build up play)goals and we would be sitting on one point and probably on the way out.Absolutely pathetic performance today and Denmark way better than us.

Atrocious yet again. Finally the media are picking up on it.
Still wondering what our actual game plan was

Awful, awful performance. We were awful in the 2nd game against Scotland, 3 years ago though and we're unlucky to lose the final on penalties.
Hopefully they were saying their energy as they looked knackered already!!

It'll be interesting to see how we perform when we get in a decent manager once Southgate's departed. It'll also be interesting to see which league club appoints him as I can't see the top 4 offering him the manager's job.

I've not really got on the anti Southgate bandwagon but that was just terrible. So negative from start to finish. Players out of position and not taking a fit left back to Germany is baffling.
We were incredibly fortunate to have stolen a draw there.

We were incredibly fortunate to have stolen a draw there. Ditto, I wasn't hugely anti-Southgate previously but the preparation, tactics, team selection and the resultant two performances so far have been absolute amateur hour. Embarrassing.

I’ve always been sceptical about Southgate. Nice chap and all that but I thought he was just selected as a ‘safe’ appointment for the FA after the Allardyce fiasco but he was never in a million years a suitable candidate on football grounds. This was further confirmed for me when he made a right mess of the WC semi-final in 2018 and I had no confidence he’d ever get this talented new group across the finish line and win a major tournament (I’d still love him to prove me wrong though).

Need a more balanced team, Gordon needs to be on the left, Foden as a 10, get Bellingham and Mainoo in front of the defence and move them all up the pitch. Rice was awful last night.

I think you’re correct. The anti-Southgate reaction on here is silly. The players have to take some responsibility Rice was awful and Bellingham too enthralled by his own publicity. Southgate said it wasn’t an instruction to play so deep, so it was the players. Too late now but last night was begging for a player like Grealish to take the Danes on and get them out off their comfort zone and change what was happening UTG!

This is still a very good opportunity for England to finally win the Euro's it's all very far from over. England can bumble their way to the quarters then gather some momentum.
If they don't get to the final then I'm sure Gareth will.think it's time to move on anyway.
However who would replace him. Eddie Howe is tainted for life by taking the Saudi money and I doubt the FA could afford him anyway.
Carsley or Potter seems to be about it. Otherwise it's overseas again
