Would love to see Georgia hold on to this lead! Great game so far. Such a better watch than earlier

Let’s be honest , on present form Switzerland have to be big favourites going into this game . Luckily that means nothing as our names on the cup lads !

It’s been awful bar a few moments but started watching England in major tournaments in 1982 and never seen so many knock out stage wins so I guess that’s the point!
Still Austria manager to take over from Southgate after this year cos that’s how I want teams i watch to play!

Pathetic display from the 'lions' against a country ranked 45th, below Panama and Algeria. Laughable how their manager was unhappy with our 'time-wasting' yet they were going down like flies before the equaliser. If we win, it will be in spite of Gareth 'one change' Southgate rather than because of him.

Bellingham under uefa investigation for hand gesture 🤌 I think he has already explained that was a personal joke aimed towards friends in the crowd. Could well be BS though, either way the games gone soft

I watched the game last night in sunny Kos & i couldn't understand why Gareth took so long to bring on his subs ,espcially Ivan Toney.Surely he should have brought him on earlier. Kyle walker threw a long throw into the box we scored from it.We only did this because of the physical presence of Toney. If i can see it ,i expect the majority of our fans can see it,why can't Gareth.

Should we have to resort to Downs League tactics against the 45th best team in the world? How is Southgate getting such a talented group of players to perform this badly? It’s some feat.

Could well be BS though, either way the games gone soft I reckon the gesture was more likely aimed at Lineker, Shearer, and the media who have given them so much stick.

The modern footballer can’t take any criticism - probably a result of being pandered to since they were kids and nobody ever saying anything other than how amazing they were in their academies. Their performances have been dreadful - what do they expect the pundits, press and fans to say? It’s nothing like the horrible and personal abuse Bobby Robson and Tony Adams got in 1988, like Graham Taylor took in 1992 or Beckham in 1998.

It is a funny old tournament. Italy and Belgium are both out, Portugal only just about managed to overcome Slovenia (a side over 50 places below them in the rankings), we all know about England's struggles and France have only scored 1 penalty so far this tournament with their 2 other goals being own goals so they aren't firing on all cylinders.
Spain are probably looking the best team out there at the moment but they also probably had the easiest last 16 tie with against a team 74th in the world rankings.
I am definitely not getting carried away and saying we will win the whole thing as we have been dire but there aren't many teams looking unbeatable either.

Felt less bad about Englands performance against Slovenia after seeing how effectively they nullified Portugal last night. They play like a club side where everyone knows their job - not a bunch of talented individuals trying to make it all about themselves!

Think one of the refreshing things about the Euro's ids the way the ' old' eastern block countries have embraced and enjoyed playing in the tournament, they seem to enjoy playing the game and not being burdened with 'expectation'. Thought Slovenia gave a brilliant defensive performance as well as creating some very good chances with lightening counters, just lacked the composure to finish especially the 1 on 1 near the end, there is a lot to be admired in watching a team like them who may have individual limitations but as a 'team' and unit operate as one with every single player knowing their job and sticking to it, think they had given so much in the 120 mins they were physically and mentally shot when it came to pens, credit to them though, perhaps we could sign couple there defenders and the defensive coach!? On the same track I have to say that Austria have been very, very, impressive so far.

For those who think "it's coming home", England would have been destroyed by Spain or Germany tonight. Feel sorry for Germany as they're the second best team in the whole thing after Spain. Hey ho, easy semi final against France or Portugal. 🤡
Anyway, as you were 🏴

Just on the evidence so far, Spain would annihilate them.
