Thought Austria looked like a solid outfit with some good play. France had their moments and could/should have scored more. They looked very good on the break, but also really good in defence. They're not going to concede many goals |

Glad to hear Mbappe was booked after walking back on to the pitch after injury to immediately sit down and get the game stopped. The sort of shenanigans that need to get clamped down on at all levels of pro football.

Good game but as expected. Serbia were decent but we had them in our pockets all 1st half and not surprisingly they worked us out 2nd half and kept a good hand in game. A few scary moments but never really a threat. I’d say we deservedly looked like favourites! Never a threat? Pickford brought off an hell of a save to stop them equalising. For all those saying Southgate did a good job would they be saying that if that shot had gone in? |

If Pickford hadn't brought off a decent save the one shot would still have resulted in a goal and most likely at least a draw for Serbia, when there was more than enough talent on the pitch & the bench for us to have won it easily. |

And if Kane’s header had gone in we would have won comfortably. End of the day we won and that’s all that matters in tournament football. |

If we beat San Marino 8-0 you’d have someone from the angle of “if we’d not scored those 8 and San Marino had scored their 1 chance instead of hitting the corner flag we could have easily lost that game” 😁!!! |

We weren’t great but we conceded way less chances than France Italy or Portugal conceded in their first game.
I don’t think we’ll win the euros but I think that’s more down to our players not having the confidence that they can win it more than anything else.
Bellingham does and we’re probably relying on him to either do something similar to what Maradona did in 86 - carry the team to success or do that but also instil the kind of confidence he has in to the rest of them.
It’s a sad state of affairs that he’s the only leader we have in the squad now that Henderson and Maguire aren’t in the squad and he’s only 20 but that’s the top and bottom of it.
And before anyone says “ but they’ve won premier league titles and Champ leagues “ yeah surrounded by foreign players with great mentalities.
We’ve got a squad full of nice lads and then we’ve got Jude and he’s a beast mentally and a born winner.
Our captain Kane is not.

A few other experienced players like Pickford, Walker & Trippier will have a a strong voice in the dressing room too |

There are other leaders in the team, but no one stands out as much as Jude. I do worry about the weight on his shoulders though. Seems to get a bit too pumped at times and can see him getting sent off for something silly in the spur of the moment ala Beckham. |
