I understand the search for a new keeper. I’m hoping Jed goes out on loan as think he’s a good goalkeeper and will only get better.

Ben Hamer has agreed a deal to sign for the Owls - the experienced goalkeeper will put pen to paper in S6 on 1 July!

Why, when there appears little chance he'll start the season as our No 1? It seems very likely that he'll be sent out on loan until at least January, as sitting on the bench isn't going to help develop his game..

He’ll be a joint no1 with a more experienced keeper or sold for £1m plus. No point sending him to league 2 now. |

If ward goes on loan it better be to a decent club, he’s just had success at u20 level. Personally id give Ward the #1

Percy, of course if he signs he will be promised the number 1 shirt or he will not leave Sheffield Wednesday. Ward will either be no 2 or loaned out. Jed needs more experience and to beef himself up for aerial bombardments which he will face due to his stature.He needs to learn to control his defence as to me he never controlled his defenders last season and that is why most good teams have a very experienced number 1. Great signing if there is truth in it.

Personally id give Ward the #1 I wouldn’t just give either the number one jersey, both would have an equal chance going into pre-season . I would think and hope if a new keeper came in both would be at the club all season. |

I believe Taylor wants a bigger keeper than Ward, has always had them in his previous sides. I expect this guy to be #1, not Ward. |

Even the likes of Man C & Liverpool have a No 1 and just use the back up goalies for cup games, given we play around 6 of those a season Ward can hardly develop just playing in those games. There's always a chance a big money move has been lined up but if not then I expect him now to go out on loan to a L2 side. |
