Talent there (you don't play for Chelsea academy and England U21 for no reason) but released 3 times in almost 3 years is a concern.
Hopefully Taylor can work his magic and get him on the right track again.

And there was a player in Grant, injury derailed it for him and he never took a step forward. |

Apparently 3 other L1 and one championship team were in for him. I guess we had to sweeten the deal to get him. Sometimes a change can work wonders for a player. moan when we don’t sign then moan when we do. There is obviously a good player in there or he would not have played for England. Now it’s up to Taylor to bring him up to muster. Feel good about this |

4 YEAR CONTRACT if we invoke the extension! Clearly GF/MT feels he's worth it, although it seems we've gone back to offering ridiculously long contracts having moved to mainly much shorter contracts under JB.

It's not really a 4 year contract though, is it. Who in their right mind would invoke the extension if he's not performing? So, it's only a three year contract. |

Still odd we've had to offer a player just released by one of our L1 rivals a 3 years contract.
Hopefully agents aren't doing us over as they know we have little experience in the recruitment department.
