Good to see Evans with the Gas. Hope it’s a good omen going forward . Anyone have any updates on the Portsmouth and Huddersfield interest.

If he doesn't sign a new contract, then I expect he will be sold. Can't afford to lose players for nothing.

Less than a Mil? I want him to stay. He'll have his pick of Championship clubs next summer.

Not like for like but reasonably similar. Kane more of a CM who can play ACM where Evans is better as a ACM but has proved he can play anywhere. Kane has slightly more experience including the Championship. Think Huddersfield wanted Evans, made an offer, got rejected, weren't willing to up it and have decided to sign Kane on a free.

If he runs his contract down and leaves after having given us four years good service that is his right. But still almost two months of the transfer window open.

I feel our pants are being readied to be pulled down….
£650,000 for one of the leagues best players, if only we could laugh that off!!
I wish him all the best, been a joy to watch, will get a hearty clap from me if he plays against us, class act
Just hoping the money we do get (i’d hope it’s closer to £1 million) is invested in a proper striker.

They have reportedly got £20 million to spend on new players to get them back to the Championship at the first attempt.

I think we stand a better chance getting more money from Birmingham than we do from Huddersfield or Portsmouth. As warwickgas says they've got money to spend so paying an extra £250k+ over his asking price means nothing to them whereas the other two would haggle for every penny....hopefully!

Well, they didnt waste time haggling with Charlton when signing Alfie May. I think we can get good money for Evans cos they want him. I have family who are “bluenoses”and actually went to the sh*tpit early last season to see them get a deserved 2-0 win. Away end sold out as will be every away end this season. Rooney single handedly got them relegated - I used to live near their traning ground and locals who worked there said he was rarely at the training ground, leaving all midweek preparation to the coaches. We all know that scousers are not comfortable away from home ! Absolutely amazed that Plymouth hired him. He’ll take them down this season for sure.
