Christian McClean 6ft 6 and full of Muscle. Same 1.96m according to Wikipedia as Anssi. Can't think of anyone taller. The Beard played like he was 8 foot tall though. The Beard was so tall he had to duck when an Airbus A380 flew over. |

We did have a giant of a man on loan very briefly.I recall wondering if they had to have a special shirt made for him.Recall him coming on as sub at the Mem for his debut
Oumare Tounkara I think it was a Frenchman.Played well in our 4-2 win at Dagenham in April 2013.John Ward brought him to the Gas.

No,it was his all round girth that I recall rather than his height.Still playing at 34. |

Strikers need time and confidence, look at Jason Roberts and Ricky Lambert. He is doing everything right, stick with him. It just has not gone for him yet. Three matches in, UTG His hold up play he’s trying the right things and sometimes its coming off and sometimes it’s not. But everything that’s not back to goal he’s not doing everything right at all. Born in the offside position and doesn’t gamble on running in to the spaces where the ball could/ does drop unfortunately. He’s a rough diamond perhaps and with the right coaching could come good but looks like a player lacking in the ability and belief in the things he’s being asked to do to me. But it’s early days. |

Would love to know the process that went in to signing the lad and what justified spending that sort of money. How many times did we watch him play as a centre forward? |

Against Northampton seen glimpses of what he could do, I am liking him. It's 3 games in not 30. As long as we creating chances I think he will start finding the net.
However it would be lovely to know the club are looking at strikers still. Anyone thats started well in league 2, that also has history of getting 15+ ?

Against Northampton seen glimpses of what he could do, I am liking him. It's 3 games in not 30. As long as we creating chances I think he will start finding the net. However it would be lovely to know the club are looking at strikers still. Anyone thats started well in league 2, that also has history of getting 15+ ? Even in Ireland he never scored more than 5 goals a season, there's zero proof he's going to score regularly even if we create more chances. He was probably worth a £150K/£250K gamble, no way £500K, particularly when Fleetwood would have been desperate to sell him. |

In one of the pre season games MT said his general play was “messy”.
Says it all really in regards to MT’s man management and Promise’s ability.
You don’t break / smash your transfer fee record for a project, we need someone ready to go. I appreciate 475-500k doesn’t get you a top top player but come on, it should get us more than this.
