He needs width in attacking areas which other than the last 60 minutes v Northampton we haven’t given him yet. Then we’ll see how good he is , good or bad. Not going to get much attacking width with a flat back five. Let’s get some attack minded players around him in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.

Even in Ireland he never scored more than 5 goals a season, there's zero proof he's going to score regularly even if we create more chances. He was probably worth a £150K/£250K gamble, no way £500K, particularly when Fleetwood would have been desperate to sell him. Was it even confirmed to be 500k. I thought it was another undisclosed amount It was undisclosed. Remember seeing an article saying that we had made a final take it or leave it offer of £300k. So who knows? Maybe £300k up front with add ones to potentially take it u to £500k?

I think he’s played very well with practically zero service , there’s nothing creative coming from our midfield whatsoever so how on earth is he supposed to put the ball in the back of the net ? Yes he’s very raw but you can see there’s a player in there Ans most importantly the lad seems to have a great attitude and desire to do well. Can’t single him out when our whole midfield seem to be missing at present , Martin and Sotiriou have been awful also. Let’s just support them , Most of us on here said before the season kicked off that it was going to be tough and with a whole new team will take time to gel , so why the panic ? We knew this season was going to be hard , let’s see what happens !

As we are only 3 games in with practically a new team and having played two of the fancied teams away and come back with a point I think we need be a bit more patient after all the GAS are renowned for being slow starters🤔

Would love to know the process that went in to signing the lad and what justified spending that sort of money. How many times did we watch him play as a centre forward? We probably watched him more times than you watched your golden boy Stokes, based on his performance tody. Couldn't even take a corner!

Stokes was terrible today. One good cross for Lavery is all I remember which forced a save from Griffiths.
I thought the number 36 for them Dan Barton was a cracking little young player. Did well when he came on.

Well that dive five seconds after Moore's (admittedly pretty wild) challenge was pretty good. Now that Tom Daley is retiring the GBR squad should have a look at Stokes as a replacement. Mind you Lavery might get a job at some screamedilica heavy thrash type band. He screamed so loud with no one within yards of him, the ref didn't see anything but gave it just for the scream. Shocking. They can both give up the day jobs.

We should have scored when (Thomas?) knicked it off him to make it 3-0. Shame we didn’t. Would have been the cherry on the icing.

The great thing about that second goal...
If I'm Promises team mate- I'm starting to think it doesn't matter if he's got a man on him- if I give him an angle he can protect the ball.
The more he does it- the more trust he earns, the more it happens. And we'll start getting really quick ball into him.
And with that- you can start forcing it.
