I agree. I like the look of him. A decent run of games, a goal will come and confidence will flow.

However it would be lovely to know the club are looking at strikers still. Anyone thats started well in league 2, that also has history of getting 15+ ? I'll be amazed if we pay to bring in another striker before the deadline. Best we can hope for is probably a young striker on loan. Although as I said yesterday, probably 7/8 times out of ten, they don't end up being any better than what you already have.

Bloody hell, give the lad a chance. He is very raw at the moment but his hold up play and work rate are good. He needs someone along side him to offer some support. Our midfield are not providing anything for him at the moment and he is frequently isolated and trying to do everything himself.
I don't think him and Martin are a good combination and given the right striking partner he will improve.

He needs width in attacking areas which other than the last 60 minutes v Northampton we haven’t given him yet. Then we’ll see how good he is , good or bad.

Maybe he’s going to be used as the width, with him and Thomas either side of a new pacy No 9? Early days yet, he looks a handful but I’m not sure he’s found his real position yet. There is a big pressure on him as our focal point and our record signing. Hope we don’t get on his back, boy needs our suppport. UTG

UTG Yeah he’s built like a target man and has mostly been used as one and has done ok with his back to goal but perhaps he would be better as a wide man. The times he’s played off the shoulder of the centre half he’s mostly been offside so I don’t see him as that kind of forward, but it’s early days.

I feel that he will become a good signing. Strong, pacey and holds the ball up well when needed.

Hopefully Hunt will return which will give scope for Thomas to push up more.
Based on Tuesdays game I like Anthony and think with him coming on for the last 20 minutes, it will help create chances for Promise.
He is relatively new to the position so hopefully he will learn and develop and improve year on year.

He reminds me a lot of Harrison very clumsy, give the lad time I think once he gets a goal he will be up and running and lets not forget how bad Collins started in the promotion season it wasn't until that wonder goal against Oxford in the cup that his season took off

Took Harrison a while to work out he was not an out and out goal scorer but someone who contributes to the team, so he worked on that.

Bring in Gary Penrice or Jadon Roberts to help him find his shooting boots.
It's worth a punt!

I think Promise will come good.
I'm more worried about our options in support of him when we play this system.

Would love to know the process that went in to signing the lad and what justified spending that sort of money. How many times did we watch him play as a centre forward? Bit rich coming from the bloke who wants us to take a punt on players from the Korean second division based on a YouTube clip!

We have played three games and some people are on his back already - even the commentator yesterday kept saying " Still to find the net this season "...
The lad works tirelessly with little close support - wins a good deal of headers too and defends our box well at corners. He is not being helped by the fact that we have no fit striker for him to partner with - throw in that Isaac is finding L1 a big step up similar to Evans in his first season and that both LT and SS are truly not top of their games either. Midfield is not moving the ball forward well enough at all -
Promise has a superb attitude wants to do well and truly needs all our fans supporting and lifting his confidence - I will not be surprised at all if he scores against Cambridge this weekend.

I agree let's not judge him until the winter window and as for people saying hope it's not another Tom Nichols, Nichols completely different player and IMO was never a out and out striker personally I think he would have been better suited to an attacking midfield role
