Hopefully he can indeed do all those things and hopefully, whoever has accused him of being a "fraud" will be wrong. (Don't know who that is mind you).

He looked like a guy who had enjoyed some time off and recharged his batteries. His demeanour was so much more relaxed than in his interviews at the end of last season. We are beginning to see how far short the team he inherited was from playing his type of game

UTFG 🏴☠️ Whatever your views on the manager, we all want the best for the club and an improvement on the pathetic 1.13 PPM and 45 goals conceded in 28 games.
Thankfully only a small minority will get carried away in pre-season by a narrow win against a woeful Plymouth outfit and similarly most didn't get carried away by a defeat to newly promoted League Two outfit Bromley.
Plymouth was a decent workout with plenty to improve on...particularly the same shocking defending we saw last season - terrible marking, poor positioning and free headers in centre of our box!

not getting carried away, unlike you calling him a fraud. Lets see how he does with his own squad, may succeed, may fail. But he is clearly not a fraud. |

I think I used the term once in the heat of the moment and since then you must have banged on about it a dozen or more times. Not sure why it triggered you so much, I could have been a lot harsher after the managers awful performance and unwanted club record broken for consecutive games without scoring. But, that is all in the past now and like every season, it's a clean slate and a fresh opportunity. Im looking forward, but as the Doc intimates, it's you that is constantly looking to antagonise. |

I agree with the jury still being out but surely any assessment should be based on whether Taylor is getting the best out of his players and generally being a good manager? What I dislike, and I don't post often, is the notion from some that he is a fraud and snipes about his general demeanor. When I read that sort of thing, I feel quite embarrassed to think I stand alongside people at games who operate like that. Yes, everyone is entitled to their view but keep it football based rather than character assassinations. I hope he's thick skinned as I dread to think what he makes of some focusing so much on how he comes across at times and worst of all, that he is fraudulently getting paid to manage a football team. UTG!

I am praying that it works for him, not sure what manager would come in and immediately not have much scope to change the players as they are mostly on 3 year contracts now.
Part of being a manager is having a personality and regardless of what you expect it does matter, its inspiring and gives identity. I think Taylor is professional and offers nothing you wouldn't expect to hear- It does make him boring. I get the impression he lets his hair down by having a half of bitter and doing the weekly crossword in the paper. - this is just my opinion, facts are that his recent record is not at all good so needs to improve for me to not care how boring he is
