Mola playing well. Bilongo will need to improve his pressing game, every time we implemented the high press Cardiff easily escaped on our left.
Don’t think Wilson played badly at all, some people just need a scapegoat and given his age and injury record for us he’s an easy target.

Even v Plymouth we had our defence split with a simple straight ball through the middle. And that was with different defences in each half Connolly started the first half and that was one of the issues with his game, so far Moore seems to have started slowly and for me Mola isn't a CB. Hopefully there's still money in the kitty for another CB, Elkan to return(?). |

Like the look of Hutchinson. We've worked hard, been direct at times and forced them into errors for a couple of chances. However, they've played through us a couple of times and our keeper has made a couple of outstanding saves. Like I've said better sides will play through us and they are a championship side after all. To sum up, plenty of huff and puff and effort, not much quality on display. Our midfield is set up to close down, tackle, missing someone (Finley, Coutts mould) to put thier foot on the ball.

Hutchinson and Omochere look positive, we need more pace than Sinclair has offered so far though. Not the worst first half. Disagree about Sinclair he’s done just as much running as anyone else on our side and at a faster pace than the others, just that most of his hard running has been executing the high press when we don’t have the ball. |

Topper Gas , what is it with you that you can be critical of players before they have even made a mistake? Are you TBone in disguise? he can be critical of players who are not even in the squad. It is a new season with new players and all should start off with a clean slate. Good first half. Cardiff look a good side. Class goal but we should have equalised when their keeper saved. Is it me or are the players a lot slicker than last season? If we could get another striker and winger then we could do well. Very impressed so far.

Visitors have a technical and creative midfield.
Play with two players permanently wide to create space inside. Tanner and O'Dowda.
Their interplay around the box and short sharp passing is clever.
We have pressed reasonably well and have not been overawed.
Josh Griffiths is a good shot stopper.
Clinton Mola goes on excellent forward runs.
Grant Ward demonstrates that he is a top level player when he is fit.
Superb top corner finish from Aaron Ramsey.
1-0 at HT seems about right.

Really encouraged by the high pressing game, and its creating chances. Only problem is it only lasted for 25-30 minutes of that half.

Agree with that but I wish we would do more running off the ball, there never seems to be the forward option when someone brings the ball out so we either pass back or lose it. |

They have opened us up a few times with quick and precise passing and have coped with us pretty easily at the other end. I guess that's the difference between L1 and the Champ |

What do you really expect when Wilson starts? MT has effectively given Cardiff a 1 or 2 goal advantage this half. I’m not watching. What did Wilson do wrong for the goal? I'm guessing he is marking Meite and has left him with a free header inside the box and just let him win a header which the keeper saved. Not as commanding as we were led to believe |
