You might be right. I’m staying hopeful for a little longer. TBH Rich I hope I’m not, but yesterday was awful and a 3-2 defeat was flattering beyond belief on the balance of play. Listening to Matt Taylor after just doesn’t convince me that he can turn things around and I wonder if he has watched the same game. However I can’t honestly say I haven’t felt exactly the same under previous regimes at the low points, my comments were in the moment. Ą couple of decent results and the whole perspective changes who knows? I agree. He needs a little more time to bring the change we hope to see. We played much better when Grant Ward came on. Him and conteh are a good combination. One thing I know is that Matt Taylor is possibly one of the most disengaging characters to run our football club. He struggles to emotionally connect in interviews or emotionally connect with fans. His interviews are dire. I wonder what he is like in the changing rooms or around the training ground. I would hope he was inspiring but I fear not. Too be honest, he didn’t inspire fans when I saw him at the summer friendly in Spain. Walking past 40 fans with no acknowledgement. I wait a little longer and remain hopeful. but loosing patience with the post match low key manager comments. Can’t imagine how this works in the changing rooms. Over to Matt to inspire everyone.

We can't play Moore when he's suspended? Christ. Has he got any experience of performing miracles?

Has he got any experience of performing miracles? GC, not JC!, did once for us but has done little since.

Which defender should be marking the goal scorer stood on the centre spot in this photo? Whilst Conner Taylor is being criticised Mola has a clear view of the striker and has nobody else to mark?

View Attachment Whilst Conner Taylor is being criticised Mola has a clear view of the striker and has nobody else to mark? I said exactly this to my son when it happened. The right winger was already marked and Mola had no reason not to come all the way across and pick up the goalscorer. Won’t get noticed or pulled up by many though. Good spot sir 👏

Good spot sir 👏 The first goal was similar, neither Conteh tracked back nor Bola again picked up the goal scorer, so it looked like Taylor again was possibly at fault.

how can you have a club captain on the bench! Because he's club not team captain, apart from seemingly being a model pro I'm not really sure he's captain material anyway.

It must be challenging living with such blind optimism and absolute faith in our prospects for success, followed by the inevitable disappointment and sadness as it all unravels. Manager after manager, year after year. That's how it is for smallish unsuccessful clubs - in other words almost all football teams. You should learn to temper your expectations Rich.

It was annoying when the Portuguese stewards took away water bottles on way in on a super hot day.

Has he got any experience of performing miracles? He brought back one person from the dead. An entire football club might be beyond him.

It’s just the way I am. Not challenging but for sure frustrating. My heart is often on my sleeve and this approach has often been helpful to me. It keeps me energised. I’m sure it doesn’t work for everyone. I rarely critique situations and I hope Matt gets a grip of this situation. I remain hopeful and rarely disappointed or sad about stuff. Things have to get better. Matt needs to up his game in the motivational stuff for sure.

McCormick coming on …. I GIVE UP! Kofi played 5 accurate passes in an hour. As a CM. He lost more duels than any other player. He’s not ready for this yet (he will be) and MT has hung him. It was a Gamble and said Friday, TAYLOR being told to play him as they are trying to sell him! he's too young and not phsysical enough yet, he's going to be decent but lets be patient!

I watched the extended highlights yesterday and the thing that struck me was how poor Connor Taylor looked. Totally appreciate he isn’t match fit but he looked slow and uncommitted. For the goal coming from the Wilson pass he jogged a bit then gave up and the one on the near post he was again slow and position was all wrong. I’m hoping it’s match fitness but I really thought he’d come in and not be far off it. Perhaps the injury is still not right. Perhaps the young chap from West Ham could come in he’d probably have a bit more pace and strength. I wonder if he’s not at it in training, hence not getting into the squad.

I also watched yesterday and this is not the Connor Taylor we purchased from Stoke City.
