Was exactly my thought as I walked to the car, not seen anything that tells me he can get a tune out of the team he has assembled, and although I am happy to give him 10 games, I am not sure what would convince me in next 2 games vs the evidence we have seen to date . . . wonder what our owner is thinking? The problem with 10 games is Taylors record is 0.70 after 10 games this season and barely over 1 point per game in 45 plus total . This is relegation form. If people think he can improve then fine give him a chance . However I am very concerned if the form continues. We will be in the zone 4-8 points behind and in another Garner situation. So, we are only 5 points from safety. That's not so bad.

After today's game I think we are foooked. And before the game I was all for giving MT a chance, nice guy, but can't see him lasting much longer. Wycombe were a really poor side, no quality at all and we still couldn't beat them. I think talking to other Gasheads that's the general feeling (fooked). Our next 4 Charlton Hudd Blackpool Burton . It don't bode well. It's sad really a club Our size can't maintain div 3 football but it's the usual 2-4 stint . Hang on, our manager in the 2nd division was brilliant and we thank him for giving us a promotion. Surely we can't have days like the 7-0 unless we get relegated?

I reckon he got more ppg with Batons players than he has with his own players so far. That’s damming in itself given how Rubbish he done with joeys players. Should have never been trusted with the budget, given he spent well at Rotherham last summer. Ta Ta Taylor. Genuine question: Was MT trusted with the budget or was GF trusted with the budget? The signing of Shaq suggests the latter.

Can any of us seeing MT kicking up a fuss if the VP signed players w/o his agreement, is GF a similar character? If MT had full control of the budget wouldn't he have signed some more experienced players? I fear the issues are bigger than just replacing MT, we also need half a dozen senior pros and a new coaching team and, possibly an experienced DoF.

Whilst I agree with what you have said, Taylor ultimately has had a say in the transfers. Likewise we have gone backwards since his arrival. What can’t speak can’t lie. His points per game ratio is dire.

The players don’t know if they are going to get a run of games, and we look very soft. This is a tough league. You need to be organised and well drilled. Considering both him and GF were big old meaty defenders, it’s concerning that we look like a shambles anytime the ball enters our box. Taylor Moore coming back will be welcome, but central defence is a worry. Connor looks a shell of the dominant defender we all love. UTG

I always felt uncomfortable with the GF role, surely to do that role you need a wise old head with a very big network, not a youngish retired player?! Anyways, we are where we are, we have what we have, we need somebody that can get a tune out of it or else. Long term debate for another day!

Isn't that the point anyway, we can only maintain L2 football, we never get days like that in L1 as we always seem to struggle, when we don't we manage to let the mighty Mansfield poach our manager or our local rivals steal our best striker. Love him or hate him JB had Fleetwood in the play offs with a similar budget to what he had at Rovers, all he achieved here was a bottom 10 side.

Think the owners need to shoulder a lot of the blame , they’ve obviously dictated that we should sign younger players with a sell on value ( hopefully) but they a look a little naive to me . Taylor not getting a tune out of them either. All round a typical Gas sh1t show , after looking like we were looking upwards we get punched in the face and fall back down. Don’t think this club will ever get to the championship 🙄😂

Just asking the question as that IS what happened before)

UTG Problem is where is the big meaty CB, we just have youngsters and Wilson? I thought CT did OK in the first half, as Mansell identified on BRTV Wilson & CT have clearly beein told to protect the near post at corners, so he can't be blamed for the second goal, and had no real involement in the first goal.

Well, the club has been out of the second tier for over 30-years, and whoever has managed Rovers, gets giddy above mid-table!

Forked out the best part of a grand this yr for tickets and Brfc tv , all to feel thoroughly miserable after every game .

Since then his record in any 10 match block is relegation form. It be interesting to see what the forum poll suggest .

I totally agree, I've forked out a lot of money to watch Rovers this season and it's just not worth it. IMO the owners threw last season away by sacking Barton mid way through, only to bring this clown in and f the season up. He's been allowed to bring his players in now and it's just not working and it never will with him in charge as there's no pattern of play. There's no passion with him, he blames the players all the time and never shoulders the blame, especially when it's his decisions that are costing us points. He cannot connect with the fan base. In his pre and post match conferences he speaks with no clue and just says words to impress, he's Mr cliché with his comments. He needs to go ASAP
