Firmly as I dont like sacking Managers and think they deserve a fair run after todays performance i see a Manager who I am afraid doesnt have a clue what he is doing. Very little effort at playing attacking football- the same tactics just with a few different faces. Four defeats on the trot todays against a Wycombe side who to be frank were very ordinary but we showed no signs of pressurising as a team and as such pretty well allowed Wycombe the freedom of the park. The routine 5 substitutions that again just didnt work. I said at the end of last season that the key change in the summer would be an experienced keeper who controls his area and most importantly his defenders and the six yard box. Griffiths makes good saves but has no control ol of his six yard box the same as Jed Ward. Taylor IMO has no ideal as regards setting up as an attacking side and we always look like the away side whether we are home or away.Until we start to play attacking formation I do not see any hope of getting three points. The team need inspiration and I just cant see that in Matt Taylor. Today for me was the last straw as yet again I saw us beaten by a very avarage Wycombe team who I couldnt accuse of being their normal cheating selves- they didnt need to.The owners must take their share of the blame- sacking Barton was their first act but they now have a Manager who couldnt inspire anybody. Dull as dishwater and that is exactly represented by the football we play.

Agreed. As patient as fans go, but it’s the sheer lack of charisma and energy from the man that I think has to be the nail in the coffin. Does he even want to be here?

Given how long it took to appoint Taylor we may not see a new person in charge until Xmas.
Just saying.

If he did then why hasn't he also signed a No 2, as I can't see any manger wouldn't sign a player if they had the funds available to do so? I think we're paying the price for reverting back to the BG model, I've not even sure just changing MT will deal with the real issues, a total lack of experienced leaders on the pitch, it's totally mind blogging that Wilson is captain, not even sure Sinclair is really captain material like Finley, Mansell or Campbell were in the past.

The air has gone out of this Rovers team already and Taylor show no sign of improving things.

Was exactly my thought as I walked to the car, not seen anything that tells me he can get a tune out of the team he has assembled, and although I am happy to give him 10 games, I am not sure what would convince me in next 2 games vs the evidence we have seen to date . . . wonder what our owner is thinking?

Didn't attend the game today as I am overseas.
We're we that bad today? I prefer fans perspective than the BP.

If a very decent, experienced manager cant get us going after some backing, then we really are in trouble tbh
Multiple seasons of having no plan and having to build a whole new squad every summer is finally coming to bite us.
Fearful for what’s ahead !

The problem with 10 games is Taylors record is 0.70 after 10 games this season and barely over 1 point per game in 45 plus total . This is relegation form. If people think he can improve then fine give him a chance . However I am very concerned if the form continues. We will be in the zone 4-8 points behind and in another Garner situation.

Anyone got any suggestions as to who they would want to come in? Andy Mangan never went to Madrid 🤔

True although I think the 10 games is based on the “time for new squad to gel” type principle. Thought Manse was interesting making that point on post match BBC chat

After today's game I think we are foooked. And before the game I was all for giving MT a chance, nice guy, but can't see him lasting much longer. Wycombe were a really poor side, no quality at all and we still couldn't beat them.

It don't bode well. It's sad really a club Our size can't maintain div 3 football but it's the usual 2-4 stint .

Like Steve, I am not one for calling for anyone to be sacked, but e cannot go on playing this type of game. Aimless balls lobbed forwards, defenders looking in a state of panic and a non existent midfield. The board must do something before all is lost and we are relegated.

I reckon he got more ppg with Batons players than he has with his own players so far. That’s damming in itself given how Rubbish he done with joeys players. Should have never been trusted with the budget, given he spent well at Rotherham last summer. Ta Ta Taylor.
