Who ordered the taxi?
Waste of money. Matt Taylor has his own means of transport.
Even if he had no transport it would be a waste of time.
There is no possibility of him being sacked at this point of the season.
Things are not great but this is a ridiculous suggestion.
If you have millions of pounds to give to the club take over and sack the lot.
Otherwise.
If the board were to sack Matt Taylor at this point they would have lost my respect completely.
They would also need to seek medical assistance.
There is a way forward for us but it will not be easy or straightforward.
Should the results and performances be similar in mid-December the decision might be different.
There are 14 league fixtures until that point.
In the meantime.

Another terrible radio interview on RB , does this sound like a man who dosn't want to be here ?? In that case resign FFS. I didn't hear all of it (my son doesn't like football) but he did sound resigned, flat, lacking in any enthusiasm. I notice he got off the pitch pretty quickly at the end.

If we wait 14 games, we will be bottom.
Its not just the results, the style of football is appalling. There's no movement, energy, know-how and a lot of other things.
I'd give him 2 more games, which I'm pretty sure we will lose and he will be gone.

Jesus, this comment is not acceptable
“I can't hide away from that fact that I picked a certain team to deal with a certain atmosphere today. If it stayed 0-0 or we'd be behind early on in the game, you need a certain type of profile out there who can probably handle it more.”
So he was expecting us to go behind? He picks his team based on when we go behind? I’m a bit flabbergasted at this tbh.

You mean wait until it's too late for any new manager to retrieve the situation? Until we're virtually down? I'm sorry, honestly, but nothing is going to get better under this guy. And I don't blame him - it's those who appointed him.

I can guarantee that Matt Bloomfield told his team not worry, just hang on in there, and we would fold eventually and they'd win. And why might Charlton's preparations already be?

To be fair if he said "I picked a side which would thrive if we went 1 or 2-0 up" you'd probably say what idiot thought we'd go in front when we've struggled to score all season? MT's starting 11 was OK, the problems occurred when they ran out of steam and the subs were far worse.

Surely he should be picking the team to face that day's opposition ?Why on earth would you pick your team according to what you think the atmosphere at the ground will be? if these players are so mentally fragile that they can't deal with a bit of stick from the crowd when they're playing poorly then they need to look for different jobs . . . If they gave us some entertainment or something to cheer then the atmosphere would obviously be more upbeat. Honestly, how do they truly think the crowd is going to react to dross like today's debacle? It's not exactly rocket science, is it?

I wonder if MT has considered for even one second that he might be the cause of players underperforming and not the crowd? Spot on. He said all this in March and came over to the away fans saying " The players are ####### feeling the strain ". Let's not forget he's been here for 9-10 months had two windows and spent over £1.5 mil. Im at a loss what he expects . The board have backed him fully!.

Oh and he's put 4 of his 5 BIG signings on the bench . Nearly £1.5 mil worth of players not deemed good enough to keep a team afloat in the old division three.

I'm not a fan of sackings.
I've not been a fan of the last 4 appointments but probably only wanted Tis sacked.
I'm still Taylor in but something needs to change. Without Ward on the pitch we look so pedestrian in terms of energy. Not renewing Finleys contract was a mistake. Not a world beater but we're lacking game state players in the middle.

It would be interested to hear Sir Trevor's views on how he thinks MT will turn things around in 6 or so games, the next set of fixtures don't get an easier, Charlton, Burton, Blackpool, Huddersfield, possibly we could snatch a point at Burton, the rest all look tough fixtures against likely top 6 contenders.

If you've got a group of kids who freeze when they hear the first boo v a group of experienced pros who take no notice, then who would you pick? I doubt MT had any say in whether we signed kids or experienced pros this summer, if MT goes then his replacement will have the same issues.

This has already been asked tonight but who makes the signings, the VP/DoF or the manager?? Do you also agree we played better in the first half than the second when most of them played?

I’m not convinced that they are that fragile. I think that’s a smokescreen to cover the fact that he genuinely doesn’t know how to motivate this squad, which formation to play, or who to play in which position.

All we want is to maintain division one status ( 10-16th). The board have given Taylor a free range to sign players for fees on a level never known at this club. You are basically saying ' the group' assembled are nervy and not good enough (yet). How can I disagree if you look at the bench . What a shambles !.

I’m ok with him picking a side that would thrive at 1-0 up, but I didn’t see that either. Apart from the goal, we didn’t have a shot on target. In fact in the 2nd half we got torn apart by Wycombe 2nd team. And if that really were true, why’d he take them all off? Because after the subs came on we started conceding? The whole thing just feels like excuses to me. Really worried
